    Chapter 7

    Finally reaching their destination Tina looked incredulously at their surroundings.

    “What are we doing here Bette”

    “Don’t look so surprised, how many times did you ask me to go horse riding with you”

    “And you said you were allergic to horses”

    “Mmmm…did I say allergic…what I meant to say was I was afraid of making a fool of myself …. I’ve never actually ridden a horse” Bette confessed

    Despite the fact that Bette had feigned a medical condition to wriggle her way out of bringing her before Tina was tickled pink that they were here now, she wanted nothing more than to kiss that mesmerising smile presently fixed on Bette…. ….fuck….patience Tina patience she thought before muttering a pathetic “Thank you”

    Arriving at the front desk Tina wasn’t paying much attention to Bette’s conversation with the clerk.

    “You said on the phone that your both competent riders and didn’t require a guide…yes”

    “That’s correct” Bette assured him.

    Tina’s head flew round and she stared at Bette then hurriedly made her way outside unable to stifle her laughter.

    Bette joined her a few minutes later and the pair walked silently towards the stables where they introduced to their afternoons mode of transport. Thankfully the stable boy didn’t spend too much time with them as other clients arrived leaving them both to their own devices.

    Once Tina got on her horse she watched Bette’s numerous failed attempts at mounting her stud with increasing amusement. Bette’s last attempt had Tina audibly laughing as once again her horse took a small step forward as soon as she lifted her standing leg off the ground.

    “Your enjoying this aren’t you”

    “I cannot tell a lie….so yes I am” Tina raised her eyebrows and reiterated “Competent I think you said”

    “I said I was a competent rider I never said I was competent at getting on the damn thing” Bette reasoned “So get your smug little behind down here and help me”

    Tina complied and safely got Bette up on her horse then jumped back on her own, slowly trotting away with a smile on her face silently speculating if Bette could or would follow.

    6. Oh yeah…I like the end to this chapter! So…all good things come to an end and apparently all great things come to an end sooner. I knew it had to happen, but I kept hoping not yet. Well it’s been a helluva ride Skimmy, so I’m expecting one helluvan ending! PPS!

    7. I love it. Bette’s biggest fear was that she would be found to be unlovable if Tina knew what she had done. As soon as she discovered that Tina still loved her it freed her. These two have got to stay together! Thanks for the update.

    8. Of course we remember you! I’ve been waiting for this post for what seems like FOREVER!I’ve missed this story and am sad its ending. Looking forward to the next post.
