"Bette please don’t go be a hero. Don’t try to find her" Tina mumbled under her breath.  Tina knew Bette would want her to be completely happy, but she didn’t want Bette to try and find the last remains of her already shattered family to invite them to a wedding…a gay wedding at that.  The last Tina heard from her sister, she was a born-again Christian, she was living in Texas and thought Tina was going to hell for being a lesbian. What a contradiction.

"Bitch."

Tina shook her head again then let it fall onto her folded arms.

"Are you ok baby?" Bette yawned from a distance.

Tina turned her head around and rubbed her eyes to ensure Bette couldn’t see any traces of previously fallen tears. "Yea, baby…I’m great," Tina replied calmly.

"Then," Bette yawned a second time, "why are you sitting in a chair…out here…all alone….without me?" Bette said slowly as she walked towards the chair.

"No reason baby. I just woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep and I didn’t want to disturb you," Tina said as she looked up at her extremely tired beauty. 

"Come lay back down with me, T. Its only 4am." Bette offered her hand to help Tina up and Tina pacified Bette by accepting. Tina molded their bodies into a full length hug as she stood up. Bette wrapped her arms tightly around Tina’s waist and smushed their bodies even tighter together.

 "Are you sure you’re ok T?" Bette whispered in her ear.

Tina, not wanted to upset Bette by what all she had been thinking about…lied.  "I’m just fine. I was just thinking about how everything in life is changing so fast and how I never believe you would have ever given me a ring like this"

"Well Angie has good taste and luckily, she’s able to keep a secret!"

"Angie?" Tina pulled away to look Bette in the eyes. "What does Angie have to do with this?" she asked, being very confused.

"Well," Bette started as she brushed Tina’s hair away from her perfect face, "I picked up Angie from preschool and we went shopping." Bette smiled widely and continued, "She helped me pick out the ring and I told her that it was a secret and she couldn’t tell you."

Tina smiled through a giggle and wrapped herself back around Bette before moved her head to kiss her fully on the lips.  Tina continued to kiss Bette deepening the kiss every second. Tina started pushing Bette’s body back and they began slowly stumbling to the bedroom, finally entering with success and falling on the bed. Tina lay on top of Bette gently, kissing her fiercely. Bette’s hands moved along Tina’s body, keeping her tightly pressed against her.

Tina felt Bette slipping off the bed and lifted her body up. They both shifted length-ways on the bed, kissing in between movements. Bette rolled Tina onto their sides, kissing her now in short sweet kisses.   She opened her eyes and smiled at the beautiful blonde laying entangled with her.

"So what did Angie say when you girls got the ring?" Tina inquired.

"O that’s right," Bette begun as she pulled Tina in closer. " Well, before we went to get the ring, I took her to get ice cream right after picking her up and while she was eating her sundae, I asked her what she thought about me asking you to marry me." Bette smiled at Tina’s wide grin. "and she replied with something like ‘I thought you were already momma’s together’ and I told her that we are but I wanted to get you a pretty ring and have a big wedding with both of you in pretty dresses….and then she just jumped up and down and laughed."

Tina’s smile widened further as she crushed Bette’s lips with hers.  She continued the kiss for a few moments, finally resting her head on Bette’s chest, adjusting her legs so that they were completely entangled with Bette’s long, smooth pillars.

Bette wrapped her arm around Tina and shifted so her hand could rest in her beautiful blonde locks. They were both like little kids clinging to their teddy bear….so entwined with one another as they both drifted to sleep.
