My Love, My life, My Soul…My Forever Ch. 5

Tina awoke with a startle. She put her hand on her head and looked over to see Bette facing the window.  She slid out of the bed carefully, so she didn’t wake her sleeping beauty, put a nightgown on and made her way out of the bedroom.  Tina walked stiffly into the living room and picked up the clothes across the floor as well as set the coffee table back where it should be.  She shook her head and giggled at the sight of the room – it reminded her why she was so sore.  She glided into the kitchen and straightened a picture that they must have bumped into it during their escapade.  She opened the fridge and poured herself a glass of juice and headed towards the living room.

Tina reached for a blanket off of the rack and curled up in the chair near the big bay window – juice in one hand – blanket engulfing her. She peered through the window and saw the shadows of the trees in their front lawn.

She loved New York, she loved how much it differed from Los Angeles, but she missed the warm sun and her friends. It’s been 8 months since Jenny’s death and her mind never stopped thinking about what actually happened that night. She knew that the police ruled it as a suicide, but she wasn’t sure if that’s what truly happened.  She always knew Jenny had her own regrets and her own demons but to kill herself and in their home? It just didn’t add up in Tina’s mind.

She gazed out the window and remembered how angry she was with Jenny for stealing the negatives….and the look on Shane’s face when she took her to the cubby above the closet. Shane looked so distressed after finding the letter that Molly had written her. Molly was the first girl since Carmen that Shane had that certain look with.

"I should call Shane in the morning," she told herself.

Tina’s mind wandered further into the details of that night…the interrogations, the look on Bette’s face…the look on Angie’s when the police arrived at the house. She had been so scared and overly curious. Tina still didn’t’ know how Bette managed to tell Angie what happened and more so Tina couldn’t believe the response Angie had given – "she’s flying around with the angels like Mr. Fish!" Tina hoped wherever Jenny was, she was happy and she found herself. Maybe she was with Dana….

    1. Fave parts? The moment when Tina has a devlish grin on her angelic face while she has Bette pinned down. There’s more but then I’d be reposting your story in the comments section and that would plagiarism. I loved everything about it. Thank you for this post and I hope Tina doesn’t worry too much about Bette’s reaction and has faith in their love. I just went Harlequin Romance on you, my bad :)

    2. Thank you for doing a post-S6 story. I think many fanfic authors have shied away from writing one because of S6 and the interrogation tapes. I don’t know why though, because IMO TLW stopped making sense post-S1, and if the fans had tried to make sense of S2 and S3 through fanfic, I don’t see why they can’t do the same for S6 and the interrogation tapes. Anyway. I believe that Bette and Tina are going to make it, whatever happens. I mean, Jenny gave her word that they would before she off-ed herself in 608. Er. IC was not qualified to write the Bette and Tina story, because she’s an incorrigible prankster. But you, you are not mad like IC, and you believe in love, so you are fit to write their story. Hooray for love, right? :D

    3. Bette and Tina’s love has endured much and their relationship has grown stronger and healthier because of it. It is never easy to talk about child abuse especially incest, some will never talk about their painful experiences. I hope Tina will confide in Bette because Bette is the only one who can comfort and support her. Bette will always be her first, last and forever love.20 years is a long time. Who knows…perhaps Tina’s sister regrets her past actions. It will be great to see Tina get closure and be reunited with her sister. I’m a sucker for happy endings.
