Tina: “… Bette, I want to set my own ‘cyber-electronic mini-workshop’, but I need to keep it hidden from mom because she wouldn’t let me do my own busyness…, and I want you to help me… and keep it secret…”
The brunette looks with concern in her girlfriend’s eyes, Tina felt the weight of shame on her heart and her face turned red, her eyes widened and her eyelids twitched and, silence invades the room; the blonde sighs nervously her eyes are glassy one thing is to defy Louise and make her way behind her, but other is to involve her beloved girlfriend in her mischief, besides she is forcing Bette to choose between her and Louise and that would be hard for the brunette, so Tina starts regretting to ask her for help and complicity, her hands on the older girl’s shoulders are shaking, she blinks and ducks her head defeated.
Bette: “… okay, I’ll do it, but what do I get in exchange?”
Tina can’t believe what she hears; Bette is on her side, after all, she jumps in her site and kisses her girlfriend.
Tina: “I’ll give you all you want and 50% of my earnings…, anything you want”
Bette: “T, I don’t want money, what I want is you, your attention, I don’t want to sound horny…, but last time you were entertained with your htab we were far from each other and we had a serious argument…, I don’t want that again (with husky voice) I need you honey”
At this point, Bette’s hands were sliding between her girlfriend’s legs
Tina: “babe, you are my priority; you could work with me so we could be together…, and you not only sound horny, you are really horny”
Bette: “no, I’m not…”
Tina: “well, your hands say the contrary”
Bette: (sighing) “… okay, what about, we take a break”
Tina: “where do you want the break, in the bedroom or in the sofa?”
Bette: “bedroom”
Tina: “we better hurry up; the bedsheets are in the big suitcase”
New Pasadena, 9:40 am. the same day. – New CalTech- Biochemistry building – Louise Rossi’s office
Louise has her eyes closed and her mind traveling outside the door of the biochemistry building; she saw her fiancé walking from the gym, no visible for the common eye, but for hers; yes… she has acquired long vision too, as Maura and Dana have. Louise moves her head scanning other sides of the university campus and she sees Angus is busy talking to some students. Louise opens her eyes in her office and starts preparing fresh coffee and some pastries and sandwiches for her fiancé and her friend and setting her personal portable supercomputer to show them, in detail, all her work. The door of her office opens and Sharon enters embracing her, Louise kisses her with tenderness and affection and Sharon look into her eyes.

Yes, I better would say respect Bette like mother like daughter; she inherited all her sexual drive, protectiveness, and intelligence from Maxine; her shyness, her ability to ‘change’ and being different from Melvin. Louise has to address and fix her relationship with Tina for the first and last time, otherwise, they would drive apart. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, I hope to update soon.

You may be right, about emotions and feelings but I was talking about emotions = feelings + sensations, indeed I was referring to the fact that hormones are mysterious sets of chemicals that could be released sometimes for effect of emotions or feelings or sensations, for example, if you are afraid of something, your body starts releasing hormones, if you are happy, your body releases other types of hormones, sometimes strong emotions force you to release many different hormones and in very different quantities; the role of hormones is to generate responses to face the danger, pleasure or whatever situation you are living. Now, the production of hormones is linked to the activity of enzymes that are certain type of proteins that acts as factories of hormones, and if the last ones are not enough, the ‘stress’ of the situation (emotion, feeling or sensation), forces the productions of more enzymes or through alternative mechanisms, producing same or different proteins to supply the adequate amount of hormones. The production of proteins is codified in DNA, and it is the RNA the one in charge to execute the ‘order’ coming from the DNA. It is known that we have ‘parts’ in our DNA that have not codification (or it is unknown) for genes, what I am assuming here (and that is part of the fantasy) is that those unknown regions in our DNA, have genes that usually don’t express (they don’t form proteins, or don’t have apparent function), they have existed since a long time ago as ‘mutations’ (indeed hidden mutations); I also assume that all our ‘inner demons’ are blocking emotions, feelings, and sensations, then they are blocking the production of certain hormones and then blocking any alternative mechanism of production of enzymes, so the hidden genes are repressed. So, this is why Louise has to ‘release’, to face her demons (to free her tormented soul) to be able to activate those hidden genes and then after exposing herself to the magnetic fields, she could achieve the ‘change’. About to tell Tina and Bette the truth, this is something Louise has been thinking since chapter 1, she wanted the two girls to be friends in order to slowly talk to them about their mothers, but things didn’t happen as she expected, the two girls, instead, fell in love. Louise has to fix things with Tina, and also with Bette.
