Masked Feelings CH 97 To Shreds…literally

Holly had taken a full time interest in finding her sister, regardless of the bureau’s strong stand against it. They promised that they’d handle matters on their own, but from Holly’s perspective, they weren’t doing jack shit. She called all her friends, including Dana, hoping to get something from anyone. At least, if she contacted someone, there was a chance that there could be a lead. She went as far as circulating a most recent photograph of her to all the surrounding area hospitals. The picture was a close-up of her and the girls. Hopefully she had a better shot at a response if it showed that this was a woman with a family that missed her.

Unfortunately, the photos would never be seen. The FBI wasn’t about to jeopardize their case and made sure that every photo was intercepted. If Kristen was still alive, it would put her life in even more danger. She knew the risks when she took on the job and even the best agents were expendable. There was something definitely wrong when two of their own became missing in action. Maybe the bureau had to re-think their strategy or pull out all together.

Roxy was still too weak to travel. David did provide for her a little better this time around, with more food and bottled water. Of course, there was more heroin to help support her habit and boy, did she need it. Maybe she was going a little crazier, but in a strange way the psychological effects were surpassing the physical effect. At least, the voices were aiding in keeping her from giving up, even though they were only temporary. It was amazing how easy the memories came flooding back, when she hadn’t allowed herself to think about her for years. Nothing else could enter her mind now, that the seed was planted.

Erika – What are your plans for the weekend?

Roxy – I’m staying right here, of course.

    Erika – And doing what?

Roxy – Why does that matter to you?

Erika – Because, in spite of what you think… I don’t like the thought of you being all alone.

Roxy – Who says that I’ll be alone?

Erika – We’ve been roommates for how many weeks now and I’ve never heard you mention anyone. Are you hiding a boyfriend from me?
