Masked Feelings CH 36 The Funeral
They walked over to the gravesite and stood there waiting for the others to show up. Alice stared at the hole in the ground.
Tony – It’s a horrible way to die…. being burned to death. Can you imagine the pain she felt before she died? Is that how you would like to die, Alice?
Alice – What?! Why would you ask me a question like that? I feel bad enough today without you adding to my grief.
Tony – I’m sorry.
Alice wasn’t stupid. Tony was purposely trying to rattle her…. hoping to get some information from her. Even though Lara was the one to kill her, Alice was practically her accomplice. There was no way to explain the situation to make it sound like she was an innnocent bystander. Like it or not, she had to keep her mouth shut. Even in death, Lara still held all the cards. Tony was going to believe what he did. What could she do about it?
Alice – Are you the only one who knows Gina and I were seeing each other?
Tony – You mean, does the rest of the family know?
Alice – Yeah..
Tony – They knew there was someone, but as of who it was….. no.
Alice – You didn’t tell them.
Tony – Why should I? It was Gina’s news to tell.
Alice – Why didn’t she tell them?
Tony – I’m not a mind reader. We’ll never know, now that she dead. If I were to guess though, I’d say that she was waiting for a commitment from you, Alice. I guess you gave it to her….
There he was, doing it again…. playing with his words again. Everything he said had more then one meaning. It was getting harder and harder to ignore. If she had to put up with his little mind games, she would. Tony knew nothing about what had happened that day…. it was only more then obvious. She knew she’d be dead now if he did.
The procession of cars made it through the cemetery, stopping at Tony’s car. The pallbearers carried the casket to the grave site. The family and friends followed after. Tony was suppose to be one of the pallbearers , but another family member filled in for him. Alice was relieved to see other people again, at least not the talking between them would be put on hold. She welcomed the break. He did make sure she didn’t go anywhere…. not like she could without her car. Tony had his arm around her waist the whole time. She didn’t like the way his hand subtlely slid down, like he was trying to feel her ass. No one else seemed to notice, except for Roxy. She was standing a little ways behind them…. watching Tony’s hand move. She was furious and was apt to mess with him if he didn’t stop. Protecting Alice wasn’t Roxy’s only job, she was suppose to be getting any bits of information she could through the different conversations that went on amongst the family members. Roxy was too distracted to do anything else. She tried to make excuses to herself for her behavior by saying Tony could take her away at anytime…. alone. Yes… Roxy was in a quandary. Alice was in one of her own. She couldn’t make a scene at the burial. The bastard was controlling everything. There was no way to tell how far Tony would go as far as manipulating her and every situation that would arise.

I love it, had to go back and read it was very busy. Keep posting, I know my girls will survive all of this heartbreaking events. Love ’em…cheers!!! Peace
You’re such a sweetheart to give us those warm and fuzzies, but I know it means you have tons of torture in store for us. I can’t wait!
Glad to see you I put a smile on your face. ;) I loved the ending, all warm and fuzzy right now. :D I can totally see Alice trying to cry over Gina. Glad she passed the test of mourning in front of Tony. ;) Btw, Tony is a real creep! ‘I make no threats, just promises.’ Yeah right, Alice is in so much trouble! I loved the reaction of Alice to Roxy question how she was feeling. ‘Ofcourse I’m not ok…’ Duh…stupid question Roxy! :D Did Roxy and Gina really have a fling? Roxy takes her work way too seriously, hooking up with every girl who can provide information on unraveling the mob family. ;) To answer your question on killing off which main character, it would be an easy way out to kill Roxy (in the near future). I wouldn’t mind if she stays a little bit longer (I like jealous Roxy). But if you really need to kill off one of the main characters I wouldn’t mind Roxy being killed. I know a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. :P As long as Dana and Alice stay alive (with little sparks of hope they will be together), I’m a very happy reader. :DWell, bring on the dinner (funny, last time I was excited over a dinner in your story was the one were Dana and Alice sort of made out…don’t think that will be happening next dinner, will it?) I’m glad Dana will be out of hospital and back at home (hopefully with Alice somewhere around).
I love how you’ve manage to give us drama without killing the characters we love in the most horrible way imaginable…I’m not pointing fingers(ahem…IC)
I was so excited to see you posted! Great chapter! The whole Tony situation looks like it’s going to get wicked crazy! I love my Danish moments…I still can’t wait till Dana’s home and they can try out some of Dana’s ideas…Thanks for the warm and fuzzies! Also I liked seeing Roxy squirm (mmmuuuaahhhhaaahhhaaa!!!)serves her right for trying to seduce Alice! Can’t wait till your next update!
roxy dated gina…roxy and tony are working together…ahhh more twists! i do not like the outlook of the next few chapters, but bring on the drama. thnx for the warm and fuzzy feeling :). with all the crap danish endured so far, it’s amazing how strong their relationship is. i can’t wait for things to finally settle down.
Such mystery and intrigue… I love it!!!
I love it I just hope that nothing bad happens to them as I feel they gone though so much all ready but there is so much more to come please post soon
