Masked Feelings CH 36 The Funeral

Alice hung up the phone. She wondered what was taking Tony so long. Alice saw what looked like a day planner tucked in between the seats. She pulled it out and flipped through it. The notes didn’t make any sense to her…. it looked like a bunch of broken sentences to her. She stopped when she saw her name. He was keeping notes about her. The other thing that stuck out to Alice was the arrow that pointed out from her name….. that arrow connected right to Dana. Did he know about them? He did say he knew everything….. did he really? Alice quickly stuffed it back between the seats when she saw Tony coming. Tony climbed in behind the steering wheel.

    Tony – I hope you weren’t bored…

He smiled at her, like he knew she had been snooping.

Alice – Not bored… more like tired. I feel like I could take a nap.

Tony – Didn’t you sleep well last night?

Alice – Not really. All I could think about was Gina. I had no idea you knew we were engaged.

Tony – We were close. Gina was like a sister to me. My parents died when I was very young. I was raised by my aunt and uncle.

Alice – I’m sorry. This must be really hard on you.

Tony – I deal with death all the time. It just a way of life.

That shut Alice up immediately. Her reaction didn’t surprise tony, he anticipated it. It was Tony’s job to find out who murdered Gina. Finding Gina’s killer insured his position with his uncle. If Alice knew something, Tony would find out. If her had to play dirty, we would. The best part of this was that he finally would get the chance to play with Alice. Tony hoped that Alice had nothing to do with Gina’s death. He would hate to have to kill her…. well, technically he wouldn’t be the one to dirty his hands. That would be the job of his newest employee, Roxy. He hadn’t tested Roxy’s loyalty, but he would.

Tony drove through the cemetery and packed in the vicinity of the gravesite.

Tony – Lets get out and walk. You look like you need the air.

    1. I love it, had to go back and read it was very busy. Keep posting, I know my girls will survive all of this heartbreaking events. Love ’em…cheers!!! Peace

    2. Glad to see you I put a smile on your face. ;) I loved the ending, all warm and fuzzy right now. :D I can totally see Alice trying to cry over Gina. Glad she passed the test of mourning in front of Tony. ;) Btw, Tony is a real creep! ‘I make no threats, just promises.’ Yeah right, Alice is in so much trouble! I loved the reaction of Alice to Roxy question how she was feeling. ‘Ofcourse I’m not ok…’ Duh…stupid question Roxy! :D Did Roxy and Gina really have a fling? Roxy takes her work way too seriously, hooking up with every girl who can provide information on unraveling the mob family. ;) To answer your question on killing off which main character, it would be an easy way out to kill Roxy (in the near future). I wouldn’t mind if she stays a little bit longer (I like jealous Roxy). But if you really need to kill off one of the main characters I wouldn’t mind Roxy being killed. I know a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. :P As long as Dana and Alice stay alive (with little sparks of hope they will be together), I’m a very happy reader. :DWell, bring on the dinner (funny, last time I was excited over a dinner in your story was the one were Dana and Alice sort of made out…don’t think that will be happening next dinner, will it?) I’m glad Dana will be out of hospital and back at home (hopefully with Alice somewhere around).

    3. I love how you’ve manage to give us drama without killing the characters we love in the most horrible way imaginable…I’m not pointing fingers(ahem…IC)

    4. I was so excited to see you posted! Great chapter! The whole Tony situation looks like it’s going to get wicked crazy! I love my Danish moments…I still can’t wait till Dana’s home and they can try out some of Dana’s ideas…Thanks for the warm and fuzzies! Also I liked seeing Roxy squirm (mmmuuuaahhhhaaahhhaaa!!!)serves her right for trying to seduce Alice! Can’t wait till your next update!

    5. roxy dated gina…roxy and tony are working together…ahhh more twists! i do not like the outlook of the next few chapters, but bring on the drama. thnx for the warm and fuzzy feeling :). with all the crap danish endured so far, it’s amazing how strong their relationship is. i can’t wait for things to finally settle down.
