“I’d like that,” Tina said as she kissed her. “Any chance you can get out of here early?”
“Like when?” Bette knew where this was headed and it felt good.
“Like now?” Tina kissed her again, leaving no doubt as to her intentions.
“I need a couple of hours,” Bette said eagerly. “Meet you at home?” She didn’t realize what she’d said.
“Angus is there with Angelica,” Tina answered without thinking. “The Peninsula?”
“I’ll see it there’s a room available. You want the tour?”
“If it means you can get out of here sooner, I’ll take a rain check babe,” Tina ran her nails lightly around Bette’s ass as the underlying meaning of their exchange began to dawn on her. “But I really do want us to make some time for it soon.” She kissed Bette one last time and left.
Helena looked toward the kitchen hopefully as Kit showed her and her mother to a table. Kit exchanged a sympathetic look with Peggy.
“Lara’s gone already,” Kit said. “She’s working half days for now and she chose this morning to face her fears.”
“She came in and baked?” Helena was astounded.
“No one is ever here alone,” Kit reassured her. “I tried to get her to wait, but once she makes up her mind, no one can talk our baby chef girl out of doing whatever that may be.”
“How is she?” Helena’s voice nearly broke.
“Not as well as she would have us believe,” Kit gave Helena’s shoulder a sympathetic squeeze and took her leave.
Peggy observed her daughter absorb Kit’s words. She decided that a confrontation with Winnie was just what the doctor ordered.
“I think it’s time you and I had a conversation with Winnie,” Peggy said with relish, hoping that the change of subject would brighten Helena’s dark mood. “Clearly, she missed the point of our little agreement.” Helena looked up. “It seems that I am no longer willing to overlook that and now she must pay the price.”
“She’s already filed her quarterly petition to amend the custody agreement,” Helena said absently.
“How much more this time?”
“I don’t know. She just did it and we haven’t had a chance to respond yet. It’s only been six weeks…” Helena stopped as lightening struck.

This story rocks! I absolutely love it. Especially the Danish parts because, well come on. We all know their the best. :) But it really is a great story and you do such a fantastic job writing it. I can’t wait for the next update.

You’re right. I did enjoy this update. You hit me with a whole bunch of Danish, and Buffy reference. “Mr. Pointy.” Haha. Awesome! I love how Dana tried to do an impression of Alice. I can see her doing that, and just picturing it makes me laugh. Alice always seems to be putting girls with clipboards in their places. :) Yeah! They got a doggie. Very cute. I hope he’s not going to be too much of a handful. “The dress,” Al gasped with her last thought. “No marks…” Will Alice be sporting a new scarf? :) I loved the update. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Yay. I love this story so much. This update was so incredibly sweet with the doggie and the Lara taking Helena back and the house keys. The happy has definitely been achieved. Kudos.

I guess I haven’t commented in ages. But still reading and loving it. I would like to see Peggy dealing with Winnie. That could be a blast. :)The (emotional) bond bewteen all of the couples is getting stronger and stronger (and it differs per couple), nice!And I love Dave already. I think his character will suit the both of them perfectly. :)
great update! and how awesome to see peggy supporting her daughter. i can’t help but love peggy peabody, even when she’s evil. but i think it’s more about the actress that plays her, holland taylor is always wonderful.anyway… great stuff and i can’t wait until the next update!
