Loving You Forever: A Bette and Tina Story – 5

The first few days Bette explored her neighborhood and walked around Little Italy and Chinatown. The unpacking and trips around the neighborhood took her away from getting in touch with Kit. She still missed Tina, but it didn’t hurt as much. She still hadn’t contacted Kit to let her know where she was staying. She couldn’t just yet.

Bette looked at her old Motorola cell phone that she had disconnected when she arrived in New York and looked at her new BlackBerry. Since getting a cell phone she never bothered memorizing any of her contact numbers including Kit and Tina, what was the point really when all she had to do was press a button and she was connected.  She had to get the contact numbers on her new cell phone, but couldn’t do it because she had left her charger back in LA and what was the point of buying a new charger when she wasn’t going to be using the cell phone. Bette placed the two cell phones in her pockets and grabbed the keys and head out to the cell phone store three blocks from the loft. Bette stepped off the curb and didn’t see the cab that had run a red light.

Kit checked her e-mail and cell phone, still nothing from Bette. The girls also have heard nothing from her. Tina had finally accepted that Bette had moved on without her and focused her attention at the Center. She had to decide what to do with the house because she couldn’t continue to live there.

Peggy Peabody paced back and forth in her office. She had arrived from vacation the day before and was anxious to get in touch with Bette. Her secretary had placed numerous calls to the loft, but still no answer.  Peggy decided to go to the loft to see Bette and paid little attention to the ambulances and police cars in the street a few blocks from the loft.

In the busy emergency room, the trauma team worked to stabilize the woman who was brought in. The lead trauma doctor shouted orders to his team:  Get me a portable head and chest x-ray! Type and cross four units of Type O. Notify orthopedics for the compound fracture on the left leg and see if someone can get in touch with a family member. The doctor looked down at his patient and hoped she would make it.

    1. Glad you will have them get together in one way or another. Thank you for not making this a belena story, can’t stand that match. Hopefully Bette will regain her memory when she sees Tina and Kit. Thanks for posting.

    2. Ooo I like where you took this what a twist but I think you should slow down, show us the story rather than tell us, show us how Tina feels, I bet she’s feeling terrible
