Loving You Forever: A Bette and Tina Story – 5

    Previously

Bette grabbed her large suitcases from the luggage carousel and placed them on the luggage cart.  She looked around at the drivers holding names and finally saw her name “Bette Porter”. She followed the driver to the car and climbed while the driver placed her suitcases in the trunk.  Bette looked out of the window as the car made its way back to Manhattan.

Tina drove home and parked her car behind Bette’s blue Saab and entered the house. Tina looked around the room at the empty shelves that once held books and pieces of artwork. She recalled the night of the find a donor party that the girls through for her and Bette and the day when Alice, Dana and Shane came over and did their "intervention" and the questionnaire. Tina entered the bedroom and seven years of lovemaking, cuddling and holding each other came back in a flash and she also remembered the last time she was in the bedroom. Tina sat on the bed and grabbed Bette’s pillow and inhaled Bette’s scent. She removed fresh sheets from the linen closet in the hallway and smoothed out the sheet as she made hospital corners that Bette always made fun of and tucked the sheets underneath the corners. The girls had brought over Tina’s clothes while she stayed and spoke with Kit at the Planet. Tina unpacked her clothes and placed them in their proper drawers. When she reached the last drawer she found a gift box with an envelope "For Tina" in Bette’s writing. Tina removed the note inside the envelope and read "For my baby on our anniversary. – B". Tina opened the box and gasped at what she saw. Inside the box was a DVD of the movie "Oliver" with a little note, "Because you have a crush on Mark Lester", framed lyrics to the song "Where Is Love" in calligraphy, a CD of the song "Make You Feel My Love" with a note, "every version ever recorded because you can’t decide which version you like better" and a framed photo of them on the first night they met with a note, "the night you changed my life."  Tina carried the box to the living room, placed the CD in the CD player and pressed play. She powered her laptop and clicked on the trash icon.  Even though she had deleted Bette’s e-mail from the inbox she couldn’t empty the trash icon. Tina clicked the Bette’s letter and began to read as the song "Make You Feel My Love" played in the background.

    1. Glad you will have them get together in one way or another. Thank you for not making this a belena story, can’t stand that match. Hopefully Bette will regain her memory when she sees Tina and Kit. Thanks for posting.

    2. Ooo I like where you took this what a twist but I think you should slow down, show us the story rather than tell us, show us how Tina feels, I bet she’s feeling terrible
