Part 20

When the door shut Alice threw her hands up in the air and started pacing “Oh god, she thinks… shit!”
Lara jumped up and grabbed Alice forcing her to stop and look at them. “What does she think?”
“I had a bit of trouble talking to her, trusting her, being friends again with her when she returned.”
“What? Al she is your best friend”
“I know but it was hard she upped and went. But enough of that we got over it. And started talking but I told her it would take time to truly cement our relationship again”
Lara looked at her finally understanding what Shane meant. “You still have issues trusting her don’t you.”
“No”
“Alice!”
“Okay yes I do”
“alice she has been back now for a long time. I don’t think she is going anywhere” Bette joined in.
“I know I know. Look if we tell her she’ll be hurt and might do something rash again”
Bette shook her head “I don’t believe she will. I think to be fair on her we need to tell her. I think she will be more hurt that we knew but didn’t tell her.”
Alice sighed and fell back onto the sofa. “Okay fine. But I cannot do it.”
“I realized that, that’s why I said I would”
Lara smiled at Bette. “Thanks”

“HA! I so kicked your butt!” Shay punched the air in delight.
“You definitely did there” Shane grinned “But I will get you next time.”
“Cool. So want another game?”
“You have homework to do before school on Monday.”
“Oh shaneeeeee”
“Don’t ‘oh Shanneeeee’ me” Shane laughed. “The sooner you get it done the sooner we can have a rematch”
Shay’s face lit up and he grabbed Shane into a hug “I love you Shane.”
Shane smiled lovingly at him “I know you do buster. And I do also.”
Shay let go and ran off to do his homework.

Carmen was in her lounge mixing some tracks for a new CD. Amanda was there just watching her work.
“You know if you keep watching me you’re going to distract me and I won’t be able to get this done by Thursday”
Amanda grinned “You have another day yet. Its only Tuesday”
“I know but I’m really into this. I have the beat and everything in my head and if I don’t do it now I’ll loose it and wont be able to continue and I’ll have to start again”
“Really?” Amanda moved around the table and starting placing tender kisses on the side of her neck “So if I do this…”
“Mandy please stop it” Carmen said moving her neck further into the kisses.
she laughed letting her hands wander up her back, into her hair and down her front, pulling her face towards hers “You saw want this Carmen”
Carmen’s lips meant Amanda’s and they were pulled into a powerful kiss.
“Okay okay you win” Carmen whispered breathlessly.
“I knew it. You can’t resist me” Carmen laughed knowing that was true.
“Bedroom now” she spoke softly into her ear. Grinning when their lips met again and they fumbled to the bedroom.
