    Talk That Talk

    “So do you think that what happened the other night is an indication of things to come if we are apart?”  Bette wanted to know.

    “I don’t know the answer to that Bette.”  Tina said.  “What do you think?”

    “I don’t think so.  I believe in us T.  I was just a fucking idiot that night.”  Bette admitted.

    Tina hesitated to ask her next  question but she had to know.

     “By the way, what did happen Bette?  You never gave me all the details.”

    Bette was dreading this.  While she did not sleep with Ariana, she did let her kiss her.  So she proceeds to replay that night to Tina, describing the alcohol infused dirty dancing.

    Tina isn’t happy about hearing that some chick was grinding with her girl.  However, if Tina were to be totally honest, she actually gets a little jealous and a little turned on at once just picturing it.  She hasn’t shared this with Bette yet.  She isn’t certain how she would react.

    “Did you kiss her?” Tina asked, cutting to the chase.

    “No…but.”  Bette hesitated.

    “But what?  Did she kiss you?”

    “Yes.”

    “That was the moment then.”

    “What?”

    “That was the moment you thought about cheating.  Tell me I’m wrong.”  Tine stared at Bette and dared her to lie.

    Bette exhaled deeply.  She didn’t expect Tina to call her out the way she has, but she promised to be truthful.  Tina tried to get off Bette’s lap when Bette reached out for her hand, pleading with her stay close to her.  Tina relented and sat back down and stared into Bette’s eyes expectantly.

    “Tina I know I was a jerk and I would be lying if I said I never once thought  about doing something stupid.  I was missing you like crazy and I let my frustration and quite frankly, my ego, lead me down a path I never had any intention of completing.”

    “See that’s what I don’t get Bette.  If you had no intention of cheating, then you were playing with that girl’s feelings.  You think that makes it better?”

    “No T I don’t.”  Bette whispered with her head down.  

    Bette feels more guilt because she never really cared about the fact that she totally disregarded Ariana’s feelings in this equation.  She is so lucky to have such a compassionate girlfriend.

    1. Great to see Bette being frank to Tina. No doubt is not easy to maintain relationship, however with their will strong, there’s nothing they can’t conquered

    3. I don’t know, Tina may have a point. They’re so young and should be able to explore other meaningful relationships. Especially Tina, since Bette is her first you shouldn’t settle so quickly. My vote for her school choice is USC. Thanks for the awesome post ✊😃

It seems like Tina has been doing some soul searching, since her wondering if she’ll maintain her attraction to women in the future is pretty deep for a 17 year old in love [since everyone knows 17 years olds in love wear blinders and think that all love endures, and that we all live happily forever]

    7. Thing is, Bette’s sown her wild oats, pre-Tina. She’s seen what’s out there while she was still in high school and made her choice. Tina’s not had that same experience. That doesn’t make it a bad thing, though. People DO find the person that they want to be with at a young age and stay with them, without the need to “play” and sleep around until they make up their mind that what they had is what they want after all. But it will be interesting to see how they work it out and if they can last. Thank you for the post. :)

Glad they finally “talked” but Bette’ s head must be spinning. 1st Tina is upset that Bette was dancing with her crush, but then she suggest that Bette go out dancing with the team, huh? 2nD Bette gets no credit for not hooking up with a crush and I’d instead accused of using her,huh? I get that they are young and dealing with a lot but Tina is ask just mg a lit of her f2f. I still think deserves a lot of credit for dealing with all the temptation around her, bug still remaining faithful to Tina. After the visit maybe Tina’ s expectations will be lower since she had a minor glimpse of what Bette is dealing with. the best thing that happened on the visit was Leslie flirting with Tina and . letting her know that Bette has been nothing but a good girl. well maybe the 2nD best thing that happened that weekend ;-) thanks for another great update. pps

    10. Thanks for the update. I agree with jp22, that we all don’t have to try out everything that comes out way if we have found the one that compliments us. We are all different and react differently so hopefully they will last tho it seems that TIna isn’t convinced.
