    Bette got up and indicated for Shane to join her. They left the house and got the pet baskets from their neighbour who had been looking after them since Bette and Shane had picked them from the animal rescue shelter that morning . On the walk back they talked

     

     

    “Are you happy Shane – we hoped you’d find someone “

     

     

     

     

     

    “I am very happy Bette – I love working with Tina and Helena and I am not complaining about not finding anyone yet . Though Simone your assistant and me are getting on very well “

     

    “She’s a player as well “

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    “Keeps me on my toes “

     

    “You have been amazing with the kids . I don’t think Tina and I would be as content as we are if you hadn’t the JEDI ability to know when to come and take them away from us for the afternoon. “

    16. When Dan came in and said Alice peed on the floor, I thought that he was talking about the human Alice. But then I remembered that he wanted to name the puppy Alice. Loved the kittens part being a cat person. Sweet and hopeful. Sorry to see this end but it was a blast while it lasted.

    45. I can hardly blame the puppy given the prospect of being named after Alice. Well, Ally, all’s well that ends well. Really sweet and of course we all wish we could create such a loving family for ourselves (children optional, personally I’d rather have the dog. As the newly late, great Anita O’Day used to sing “Thank you, thank you, thanks for the boogie ride”.
