"Cool." Shane said.

"So what were you guys talking about?" Bette asked.

"Nothing." Kit said.

"We know it was about the party tomorrow. What do you guys have up your sleeves?" Bette asked looking at Alice.

"Nothing. We were just making sure everything was set." Alice said. She was trying hard not to smile.

"I bet." Bette said.

"So when is Shannon’s movie going to premiere?" Shane asked.

"Next week. I still can’t believe she produced the last Harry Potter movie." Bette said.

"Does she have any extra tickets?" Shane asked.

"You can have the three she always reserves for Jess, Cat, and Callie." Tina said.

"Okay. I’ll call her in the morning." Shane said.

"Call who." Shannon said.

"You. Can I have Jess’s tickets for the premiere?" Shane asked.

"Sure. I don’t see why not. Jess said that they couldn’t get away with that is going on over there. She said something about Cat having a meeting." Shannon said playing along.

"Honey what are you doing here. I thought you were working late." Bette said. Bette tried not to think about not seeing them often because it made her want to drop everything here and go to see them. She often ignored comments about Jess not being able to come home.

"I was but Hil said that I had to meet her here or I would be sleeping on the couch and as nice as it is I would rather be in the bed." Shannon said sitting down with the group. Tina rubbed the rim of her Tea cup.

"What’s the matter Mama?" Shannon asked.

"I guess I was just hoping that Jess would make it for the party. We haven’t seen them in almost 7 months." Tina said.

"7 months 8 days and …..9 hours." Bette said.

"Jeez." Dana said.

"What?" Bette said.

"It’s okay. We understand." Alice said.

"Hey just be glad she didn’t say seconds." Shannon said kidding Bette. Shannon knew how hard it was for her Mom’s to let Jess move away. Jess was their first baby and no matter how many kids they had that would never change. Jess held a special place in both of their hearts that no one else could ever touch.

"Have you talked to them today?" Shannon asked.

"No, Cat had a meeting in Paris and Jess and Callie were going with her. Jess said they would call when they could." Bette said.

"Thank God for video phone. Callie is getting so big and she looks more like Jess everyday." Tina said.

"There she is." Shannon said looking at her very pregnant wife.
