"You said that Bette was your hero earlier why is that?"
"Because she made her dreams come true and never faltered at anything. She got what she wanted. She never gives up. She has a wonderful family, a great successful career, and is happy." Jess smiled thinking of the life she wanted to have one day.
"What are your hopes and dreams for the future?"
"I want to have a happy family and a successful career. Hopefully something in the art world. I haven’t decided if I want to be a painter or a gallery owner or both."
"Do you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend?"
"At the moment I have a girlfriend yes."
"So you are a lesbian?"
"No I am label free. The world around us strives on putting labels on things. How are you supposed to put labels on things that are always changing. But if you insist that I label my self I would say that I was bisexual. I love both men and women no one more than the other."
"You were recently in a horrific accident that left you in a coma for a week. You have made a complete recovery. How has it affected your life?"
"I wouldn’t say that I have made a complete recovery there are still some things I can’t do, but I have achieved much more than they ever thought I would. I guess the major thing that it has left me with is that you can’t worry about what is going to happen tomorrow. You have be aware of the future but you can’t worry about it, because no matter what you change the future. You can only control what happens in the minute that you are living in. I don’t know what is going to happen tonight or even in the next ten minutes."
"What about you? What are you like? What do you like to do?"
"According some I am a stuck up spoiled rich kid. I am the captain of the softball team. Some say I have the perfect life. I’m not perfect, no where close to it. It’s hard sometimes when everyone expects perfection from you and can’t give it to them. You lose yourself in trying to please others. I lost myself. I can’t please every one not all the time its useless to try. The accident taught me that I push my to hard sometimes. No all time. I am working on that."
"You have lived in this family since it’s conception you have seen it change for the better and the worse. If you could change it in any way what would it be and why?"
Jess looked from Shannon to the latest family picture that was sitting on the table next to her. She picked it up and held it in her lap. She smiled at it. A tear ran down her cheek. She looked up at Shannon.
"I wouldn’t change it in any way. It’s perfect just the way it is. I love it."

Now, that is a family. To love as much as they all do. Charmed, the way that you write not only brings out the love but shows them dealing with what life throws at them. Some do a better job than others but all families have troubles. Bette raised one hell of a daughter in Jess. I love this story and hope that you will continue to write it.
We always seem to learn more about Jess just when we thought we knew her inside and out. Playing tennis at five? Cute. :)
wonderful – send it to congress to have someone read it into the congressional record when they debate the ill conceived and hateful Marriage Amendment. You write beautifully.
Just has been adorable to me since the day she was born,she still is. She has been so lucky to have both Bette and Tina as Moms.yet she is jesse.sweet,loveable,stubborn temper but she is happy with her family. thanks

Good job, I hope that Bette gets a chance see this interview. I think that it will help her see Jess’s point of view and this should help Jess resolve some of her issues.
