“No I am really busy. I might not be able to make it to the opening tonight. I’m sorry.” Tina said.

“Its all right I see if Al will swing by and get her.” Bette said.

“Babe I really have to go.” Tina said hurriedly.

“Okay I love you.” Bette replied.

Bette called Alice and she said she would get Jess and take her home.

The Ball Field

Alice walked into the clubhouse. She was late. Jess was sitting with the Sr. Girls while they celebrated their win. All of the girls had grown close to Kelly, Carla, Maggie, and Jess.

“Hey Al.” Jess said and waved. The coach Lilly walked up to Alice.

“Hello I am Lilly Avant. I am the Sr. Coach.” Lilly said.

“Alice Pieszecki.” She said offering her hand and smiling.

“Are you here for Jess?” Lilly asked.

“I am.” Alice said.

“The team and I would like Jess and the some of the other girls to come out to dinner with us to celebrate. If that is okay?” Lilly asked. “You are more than welcome to join us if you like?”

“I don’t know we were supposed to go to an art opening tonight at Bette’s Gallery I would have to call and ask.” Alice said. Lilly lead Alice into her office to use the phone.

“Jess what was your favorite part of the game?” Megan asked.

“When you hit that homerun.” Jess asked.

“Okay everyone on the bus lets go eat.” Lilly said. Everyone moved towards the bus loudly.

“Would you like to ride with me? The bus can get kind of loud especially after a win.” Lilly asked Alice.

“Sure I would love to.” Alice said and obviously flirting with the tall tanned, blond woman.
