Just The Girl – Prologue (a HYD-inspired fic)

Alice Pieszecki, on the other hand, was the daughter of a famous movie star and a major Hollywood powerplayer. Her father owned a huge movie studio, some major shares in two network TV stations, three cable networks, and 20 radio stations all over the country. She was not as promiscuous as Shane, but she had her share of lovers as well – almost all of them older than her for a good couple of years. Oh, she was bisexual too. She literally enjoyed the best of both worlds. Alice was a live-wire, she was the most energetic one in the group. Always gossiping, joking, goofing around, and generally always in the mood to have a good time. As much as she irritated the others, she knew that they loved her as well.. they just showed it with their sarcastic quips and death glares.

Samantha Makavejev was the best friend of the leader of F4. She was quite the introvert. Always quiet and lost in her own thoughts. If her friends weren’t so adamant to get her out of the house to eat out or go clubbing, she would be napping, reading a book or playing the piano all day. Her laid-back and unassuming nature earned her the love of her maternal grandfather, there was actually someone in his family who didn’t fight for his attention and money. And so Sam became the favorite grandchild of the biggest Greek shipping mogul in the world.. making her the second most powerful person in her family. And as much as it pained Tina to admit, she did have this tiny little thing for Sam Makavejev. There was something about the mysterious brunette that seemed to draw Tina, and some other girls, towards her.

Last, but not the least, was the leader of F4.. Elizabeth Porter. Her friends jokingly call her Powerhouse Porter or AlphaBette for her bossy and bullheaded tendencies. She was the epitome of a spoiled brat. She was arrogant, hot tempered, a little brash and a huge bitch. Of all the members of F4, Tina Kennard hated Bette Porter the most. Sure, she was easily the most beautiful one in the bunch, but her attitude and demeanor was as despicable and disgusting as hell. But it seemed like Tina was the only one harboring such powerful negative feelings for Bette inside the school. Everyone else was fawning over her and looked up to her like she was their queen. And really.. she was. Bette Porter was the sole heiress of Melvin Porter, a powerful business titan. The Porter Group of Companies owned banks, insurance companies, hotels and oil refineries all over the globe. Her father was rarely ever present in Bette’s life, but his influence over her was so great. And in his desire to mold his daughter into a hard and shrewd businesswoman, he unknowingly transformed her into a cold, heartless beast.. very much like him.

So those were the members of F4.. Shane, Alice, Sam and Bette.. the four girls who turned Redwind Academy into their own personal little playground. To keep themselves from getting bored in school, Bette made up this silly little game. Everyone in school was more than welcome to play and take part. That little game involved a poor hapless victim (usually someone who irritated them or did something one member didn’t like) and a simple red tag with the words ‘You’re Dead!’ and signed ‘F4′ underneath. Whoever received a red tag would be subjected to the bullying of the entire school. No one who has ever been ‘tagged’ stayed for more than a day, the brutalities in which they were subjected to drove them away towards homeschooling and extensive therapy.

It was a stupid, stupid game. One that Tina never participated in. It was evil, and it was extreme bullying in the guise of good fun. It was due to this game that she first knew about F4. She shook her head as she remembered the sight of a curly haired upperclassman being thrown into the dumpster during her first week as a freshman. She had overheard a few hours later that the girl had accidentally stepped on Bette’s foot. Such abuse for an accidental act made no sense. And after that day, she began to despise Bette Porter and F4.

Suddenly, a noise from outside the classroom made everyone freeze. "A Red Tag!!!!!!!" They heard a girl shout as she ran past their classroom. "Jennifer Kramer from 3-F got a Red Tag!!!"

Oh God, Tina rolled her eyes and slumped on her desk in resignation while her classmates excitedly filed out of the room to have fun with poor Jennifer.

    Ah, let the games begin.

    1. I thought that Dana would be one of the four in F4. Different beginning from other stories I’ve read on this site. But I think I like. Not fimilar with the other shows from Japan and Taiwain.

    2. This is one of my favorite stories from one of my favorite writers. I am looking forward to re-reading it again. You write the best young Tibette and the antics and banter among the gang is pure comedy gold.
