“I’d like to see her try.” A smug Bette dared, always itching for a nice fight – especially with her arch-nemesis. “Now baby, do you see what could’ve happened if you dumped me for that talentless hack? You could’ve been dating a druggie loser right now.”

“I’m lucky she wasn’t my type then.”

“Oh please, she was so your type.” Bette rolled her eyes.

“What, obnoxious?” Tina goaded.

“No. Wait.. I mean, yes.” Bette corrected herself. “But she’s exactly your type Kennard. You always go for the three B’s. Brunette, busty and bossy. And as much as I hate to admit, that’s wee little Kate for you.”

“Nah,” Tina denied. “I’m pretty sure I go for the three A’s. Annoying, arrogant and anal.”

“My point exactly.” Bette agreed, picturing the hobbit in her mind. Then it dawned on her. Wait a minute.. “Heeeeeyyyyyyyyyy..!!!”

Tina giggled playfully. “And now you get it, hm?”

A petulant Bette pouted in protest. “You ought to be nice to me. Don’t forget, you still owe me some major making-up points for elbowing me on the eye before you left for LA..”

“Accident or not, it doesn’t change the fact that you gave me a black eye.”

“It was just a light bruise! You don’t even notice it with a little bit of eye make-up on.” Tina pointed out diplomatically.

“Still. I got teased by Sonja for looking like a raccoon.”

“Raccoons are cute..” The blonde said sweetly.

“For an animal.” Bette countered.

“Pretty much, yes.”

“I’d have you know that I have better comebacks than that.”
