“You can continue to hold me..” Bette burrowed her face on Tina’s neck, tightening her grip around the blonde’s slender waist. “..and let me stare at your green bra..”
——–
The next day.
F4 Lounge.
“Shane, do you think she’ll be surprised?” A blonde whispered at her lunch companion as her eyes darted down to the figure having a conversation with Dawn Denbo downstairs.
“That depends.”
"On what?"
“If loose lips over there can keep her mouth shut or not.” The brunette inclined her chin towards a smiling Alice who was standing by the balustrade, talking to someone on the phone – probably getting her fresh serving of hot lezzie drama and gossip, judging from the nasty gleam in her eyes.
Tina groaned. Alice’s lips were just like Paris Hilton’s legs – they can never be closed and kept together. “Great. So basically, she won’t be surprised then?”
“I’m sorry TK, but nope. No chance in hell of that ever happening.” Shane shrugged unapologetically, not wanting to sugarcoat the truth or soften the blow.
"But Porter will pretend to be surprised though?"
"Yes.” Shane pursed her lips together in thought. “And you’ll have to pretend like you bought her little act."
“So basically, both of us will just be acting to fool the other?”
“Yes, you can look at it that way.”
Tina sighed wearily. “Oh okay.”
Pause.
“Hey Shane?”
“Yes?”
“What if we get rid of Al for a while? Do you think Porter would be surprised then?” She asked with renewed hope.
“Maybe. But you know Alice. She’ll find a way to get word out to Bette.”
“Okay.. then what if we get Alice in on the plan? Maybe then she’d feel obligated to keep her mouth shut.”
Shane shook her head vehemently, disagreeing with the blonde. “That’s too risky. Don’t get me wrong, I love Alice to bits, but she could never keep anything close to her chest. Private information and gossip have the tendency of latching on to the tip of her tongue, and she would always – always – let them out at the first sight of a receptive ear. She can’t resist it, nosiness and gossip mongering are in her blood.”

Rut roh. Bette’s gonna start sitting on tree branches so she can live amidst green, and Kate Arden shows up. I’m relieved that you made a Kate a musician and not a filmmaker, but it still sounds like there is drama ahead.
After reading this chapter, I have enrolled myself in lamas classes. I feel that the breathing technique will help me get through the next few chapters. I’m starting to feel numbness, not sure where. Thanks for the post, once again, you rock!
Oh no Kate Arden. I hope that she stays away from Tina. So Bette is still freaking out from having to lay off workers. I can understand her dislike for that type of situation. I love this story and hope that Bette and Tina will stay together.
A request, please please let Bette N Tina be together forever. Ok now that request done..I absolutely love your stories. Bette have some major challenges coming her way..profesionaly & privately. Thanks for sharing, you are the best.

Drama, drama, drama on the horizon! Sounds like Bette needs to speak with someone about her issues, and Kate coming on to Tina is gonna cause some issues…PPS:)
Oh never liked that name. Never did and never will. Poor Bette, she has got to talk to somebody about her situation. Its gonna drive her crazy.

Bette should maybe consider therapy… That’s a lot of guilt to carry. But her red-tagging didn’t make that guy jump to his death. Nor is she to blame for PGC’s financial straits. If she can’t tell a therapist, she should at least tell Tina. Now, this Kate Arden… I smell trouble. Thanks for the post, Alchemy.
Wow!!!!What an awesome update. I have been reading from the start & really love all the twists & turns that U are coming up with in this fic. U have me on the edge of my seat & I can’t wait to see what happens next..adding Kate to the story…nice touch..Bette will get so jealous & with her shutting Tina out with the finicial problems of the Potters business…Tina may need someone to talk to…just saying-But I hope Bette opens up to her. I also loved the Paris Hilton joke-it was the best one that I have ever heard. Classic. Keep up the awesome work..
