CHAPTER FOUR: Falling.. Falling.. Gone.
Early Friday morning.
F4 Mansion.
Rushed footsteps echoed around the house, going in and out various rooms until reaching the end of its journey in front of an occupied couch. “There you are!” The owner of the noisy feet exclaimed in relief. “Sammy! Guess what? I had an epiphany!”
With heavy lidded eyes, the pajama-clad brunette gazed up at her bestfriend. “Really? About what?”
“I think I already have the perfect present for Kennard..”
“Yeah?” Sam asked, smiling but looking very much like someone bored out of her wits. How many times has she heard that particular sentence out Bette’s lips during the past two weeks? Yes, a little too many. Plus, it doesn’t help that her bestfriend kept changing her mind after every declaration too.
“Aren’t you gonna ask me about it?” Bette sat down and nudged the girl, extremely giddy and beyond excited. In a few days, she and Tina would be celebrating the anniversary of their first meeting at the third floor stairwell in Redwind Academy. It was a special occasion for the couple, one that they celebrated with fanfare every year.
“No, not really.” Sam yawned, tapping the remote control, idly flipping through inane cable shows. She wanted to pop in a DVD instead, but she was feeling too lazy to stand up from the couch and pick a movie from the shelf.
Disappointed, Bette glared at her bestfriend, showing her displeasure for the girl’s very obvious lack of enthusiasm for her amazing breakthrough.
Sam exhaled loudly, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. She could feel Bette’s penetrating stare boring a hole into her skull. “Fine, what do you have planned?” She asked in a weary tone, giving in.
“It’s a secret!” Bette chuckled, sticking out her tongue like a four year old child. The shipping heiress groaned and blew out her cheeks in annoyance. Bette smiled even broader. “Now you’re going to think about it all day, huh? Sit there wondering what your clever bestfriend is up to?”
“Nope.” Sam shook her head in all seriousness, shooting Bette’s claim down with a single word. “I have better things to do.” She added with a haughty smirk.

Rut roh. Bette’s gonna start sitting on tree branches so she can live amidst green, and Kate Arden shows up. I’m relieved that you made a Kate a musician and not a filmmaker, but it still sounds like there is drama ahead.
After reading this chapter, I have enrolled myself in lamas classes. I feel that the breathing technique will help me get through the next few chapters. I’m starting to feel numbness, not sure where. Thanks for the post, once again, you rock!
Oh no Kate Arden. I hope that she stays away from Tina. So Bette is still freaking out from having to lay off workers. I can understand her dislike for that type of situation. I love this story and hope that Bette and Tina will stay together.
A request, please please let Bette N Tina be together forever. Ok now that request done..I absolutely love your stories. Bette have some major challenges coming her way..profesionaly & privately. Thanks for sharing, you are the best.

Drama, drama, drama on the horizon! Sounds like Bette needs to speak with someone about her issues, and Kate coming on to Tina is gonna cause some issues…PPS:)
Oh never liked that name. Never did and never will. Poor Bette, she has got to talk to somebody about her situation. Its gonna drive her crazy.

Bette should maybe consider therapy… That’s a lot of guilt to carry. But her red-tagging didn’t make that guy jump to his death. Nor is she to blame for PGC’s financial straits. If she can’t tell a therapist, she should at least tell Tina. Now, this Kate Arden… I smell trouble. Thanks for the post, Alchemy.
Wow!!!!What an awesome update. I have been reading from the start & really love all the twists & turns that U are coming up with in this fic. U have me on the edge of my seat & I can’t wait to see what happens next..adding Kate to the story…nice touch..Bette will get so jealous & with her shutting Tina out with the finicial problems of the Potters business…Tina may need someone to talk to…just saying-But I hope Bette opens up to her. I also loved the Paris Hilton joke-it was the best one that I have ever heard. Classic. Keep up the awesome work..
