In The Beginning – Form As A Work of Art Chapters 7/8/9
Tina left one of her favorite earrings at the gallery last night. She hoped that she would have an excuse for returning to the gallery to see Bette today so it would look at least valid reason to visit her. ‘I’ll call this morning to ask if it was found or maybe I should just show up.’ “No, I think that I better call first, it won’t look so planned.” she says with a smile.
‘I need to call Eric first.’ Tina thought
Bette found Tina’s earring last night. She thought about calling her right when she found it just to be able to hear her voice. But she decided that it was much too late and didn’t know how Tina would take to her calling so late. So she decided to call her first thing Saturday once she arrived to the gallery. She was sure that Tina would be grateful to know that it wasn‘t lost forever. Beside that gave her a reason to see her again. And the thought made her happy. Mostly because she didn’t have to figure out another way to approach Tina. Unlike Alice has assumed Bette hadn’t made a plan to pursue Tina. For some reason she wanted to wing it as much as possible until she was more certain of Ms Tina’s intents.
Chapter 8
Tina and Eric’s breakup
Tina calls Eric shortly after she wakes Saturday morning.
“Hello Eric”
Hi Tina, you’re calling awful early for a Saturday. What’s up?
“Eric…, I want to see other people”
“Come again?”
“I said that I want to see other people”
“Honey, we aren’t exclusive, I date other women”
“I know. I just want you to know that I want to date other people”.
“Honey, when we started up we agreed that it was okay to see others. Why do you feel that you need to make this announcement now. Why is there someone you’re serious about?”
“I don’t know…yet. Even though I know you date other women I not dated anybody else since we’ve been going out. You have kind of been my only steady boyfriend. I went out on dates in college but this was different for me. For me it was sort of a first relationship commitment but without a deep commitment.”

That was a great update! I love that Tina got the guts to break up with Eric before going to see Bette. I can’t wait for dinner! Thanks for posting!
The thing with Eric went very well, as did the meeting with Bette. Can’t wait for the dinner to come about.
Briliant. Thank you have missed this story. :)
Thanks for updating this wonderful story! Can’t wait for their dinner! PPS
That was great. Dinner, than maybe dessert????????? PPS
Great update! It’s nice to have you back. I love how cute and innocent Tina is at this time. Now…be sure that there is a wild tiger sleeping within her that needs to be wakened! Hee Hee. PPS!
Great update. I love it. I’m so glad she broke up with Eric before starting something with Bette.
Nicely written Journey. Not an overwhelming lust at first sight, just a sweet, gentle attraction pulling them both together. PPS!
That was wonderful and everything is good, now let see B&T’s dinner. Please post more, thanks!
so romantic and sweet of their first kiss!
This has been a very good filler-in, backstory about how Bette and Tina meet, and began there relationship, before we come upon them seven years later when the show started. Thank you.
