“Did you love her?”
“No. I liked her but she and I were from different worlds. She’s a lawyer and I’m a hairdresser. She’s miserable in her marriage but from what I understand is a really great attorney. We exchange emails every now and again. Why?”
“Just wondered. Where you scared that you didn’t know what to do with a woman?”
“Well she had only been with her boyfriend and I had nothing so yes, I was scared. It didn’t take long though to figure out what felt good.”
“Would you have done anything different that first time?”
“No. If I had thought too much and planned it I would have probably freaked out. Having things just happen because they were supposed to happen worked out. Are you scared about being with a woman?”
“A little. I mean, it’s all so new.”
“TK, you do to her what feels good to you and direct her to do to you what feels good. We so have to get you laid.”
“No we don’t.” I told her as I laughed.
“Look, let’s go to Santa Monica this weekend. We go out there where you won’t run into anyone you know and see what happens.”
“Shane, I’m not looking for a one night stand.”
“Why? I know you’re commitment focused and monogamous but hell TK, you need to just get laid and see if you even enjoy being with a woman.” She had a point but I doubted that I could do it.
“We can go but I’m not looking to get laid Shane. I mean it. Don’t set anything up.”
“Ok TK but trust me, when it happens, you’ll know what to do.” We finished eating and cleaned up. Shane went to sit on the couch while I grabbed the wine. We sat in companionable silence and then she looked at me.
“Tina, I’m going to leave it alone after this but…with my being friends with Alice and her being friends with Bette, what do I do about you and I being invited to do things?” I wasn’t sure. I wanted to be able to spend time with Bette but right now, that wasn’t possible but if I told Shane that, I may as well tell her everything.

I like that Tina and Shane are friends it’a great twist to how they all become framily. Weli, we are set up for the conversation and I’m ready to hear it as soon as you are ready to post it. And I will try to be patient.
Love it. Tina is always obsessed by Bette’s behind. Don’t see the reason myself. Anyway, great chapter and the time is upon us to hear their talk and I can hardly wait for it.Pleasepost as soon as possible.

i also like the friendships that are forming… and its funny how both tina and shane know alice has a big mouth… and now the time has come for bette appointment… i thnk when bette leaves and they say goodbye… bette should pull tina in for a KISS… and to be continued when they both can continue their love story… loving this… PPS

Gosh, I’d all but forgotten about Jiffy Pop. I’m trying to decide whether Shane’s motives for warning Tina about Bette were altruistic or a little self serving due to how she feels about Tina. I love their friendship however…each of them have a close friend to rely on. You’re the best NAG…wonderful update…awaiting the next!

Yes in most if not all stories Alice continues with the big mouth. LOL I do like the Shane/Tina friendship. Looking forward to Bette reaction to “future possibilities” with Tina.

I was blown away by Shane’s sense of intuition. She nailed the problem – no wonder Tina avoided her most of the weekend. Although the information was less than positive about Bette, Tina is intelligent and will not allow her emotions to rule. Love the way you are handling the dialogue – it is really moving. Well, I’m on the same page as Tina. I have to say that the Melvin-on-the-phone scene with JB’s white-stripey-pj-clad ass was a highlight of the series for me. Now, let’s get Bette moved on with Steve, and get the Bette & Tina show on the road!
So Tina is really struggling with this thing with Bette. Shane is so wrong about Bette not doing relationships. She did not do them until this one therapist entered her life. I have a feeling that Bette is willing to settle down once she and Tina are able to go out together.
