Once they’d reached the apartment, Bette let them in and threw the keys onto the counter. She quickly pulled off her jacket and threw it onto the couch before excusing herself. “Be right back.”
Tina nodded as the brunette swaggered down the hall with all the attitude and confidence that Tina often wished was hers. She quietly looked around what she figured was the living room, and fixed her eyes on the couch. It looked worn, and there was a pillow on it. She smiled at it and moved to sit there, assuming that was where Bette often slept when she stayed for the night. She leaned onto the pillow, and then something caught her eye. It was on the end table just beside the sofa – something was stuck into an otherwise usual picture frame.
Tina furrowed her brows at a picture of herself. She breathed laughter, totally confused, as she plucked it from where it had been waiting. And when she looked closer, she was surprised. She hadn’t remembered giving Bette the picture, but there it was – a picture of Tina with a sunhat on and her gardening gloves, laughing in the sun. Tina smiled as she touched the picture, a part of her heart sinking just as she was struck with happiness. It was obvious that Bette had taken it from her house, and it just struck Tina how alone she must have been all those nights with only a photo to keep her company at night.
Back in the washroom, Bette splashed cold water on her face and looked up into the old, rounded mirror. It had been difficult to act so calm with Tina after all they’d been through, but she always knew how to put Tina at ease – even if it hurt her. And it usually did hurt her. Still, she was so in love with Tina that it wasn’t a choice. With every terrible decision Tina made, Bette would follow her. She could be sad, she could be angry, but she could never fall out of love with Tina. It was stronger than she realized.
Not one to talk to herself, Bette stood to her full height, rolled the kinks out of her neck, and walked back down the hall to see Tina. She stopped in her place when she saw what Tina was holding in her hands.

Thanks for the update GR :-) … A bit sad to know this is gonna end soon.. I wonder where are you going to take us with this wonderful story. The way you describe their emotion is so full of details and its captivating! The way Bette struggle within is so emotional. I agree this chapter of the story does effectively describe the emotional states of the characters. I notice that Tina has apologized to Bette by admitting her selfishness. She uses the excuse that her loss of priority caused the pain and anguish which occurred in their relationship. What loss priority was she referring to? Was she referring to her marital commitment as being the priority she lost? If so this brings me back to my initial question .Why, did she decide to have the affair? Alternatively, is she referring to her selfishness of not fulfilling Bette’s sexual and emotional needs as loss of her priority? If so, she is confused. Making that her priority will be impossible to accomplish while she is still married to Greg. It is not wised to start a sexual relationship while committed to another particularly a spiritual commitment such as marriage. I also want to believe that Bette owes Tina an apology as well. However, I would need to have this additional question answered before I can accurately draw a conclusion. Did Bette know that Tina was married prior to sexually touching her? If so she absolutely does. Do your thing GrindRight!

Very different than your other stories but just as good, you write the emotion well
At first I thought you were going to reprimand me for calling you “the onion girl”. I was like “oh god not in front of everyone ”. It’s all good to me, I just didn’t want to offend you. Your Bette is a great combo of cute and sexy. Like a Teddy bear in lingerie ok, no more analogies. Thanks OGR

I love your attention to detail you describe the little things that aren’t usually described I like that. And yes this is way different than your other stories, but I like all of your stories so it doesn’t matter to me just keep writing! Lol
