Shane: ‘Scuse me?

Max points to Jenny’s door.

Max: You need to go in there, Shane.

Shane: Why…why should I, Max?  Give me one good fucking reason.

Max: Because if you don’t…I will.

Shane: Really…

Max: Me and Jenny haven’t seen eye to eye on a lot of things since I moved out here, but…I still care about her more than I do myself.  Or anyone else.  And when she feels like shit, I feel like shit.

Shane: Okay, Max?  I know you’re tryin’ to help and I really appreciate it, but you really need to get outta my room.

Max: Shane…  Right now her heart’s breaking.  And I really don’t think you know just how much you’ve meant to her in the last few years.  And right now…all she want is comfort.  I don’t know about sex or any of that…but she does want comfort. Shane.  And you’re the only woman left she still believes in.  You’re the only person at all that she still believes in.

Shane: …

Max: She used to believe in me.  But I let her down, Shane.  You’re the only who hasn’t.

Shane: And because of that, I gotta risk everything?

Max: No.  You gotta risk everything for two reasons.  One, she’s worth it and two, she loves you.

Shane: If she’s worth it, then why are you still wanting to be a man?

Max: ‘Cause that’s what I was always meant to be.  But if I have to, I will give up on it.  I will shave this hair from my face.  I’ll shave off this armpit hair and leghair and whatever else.  If I have to, Shane.  I always thought it was too late…don’t make me think that it isn’t.

Shane: …You really love her, don’t you?

Max: Not as much as she loves you.  Get your ass in there while you still have the chance.

Max exits Shane’s room, leaving for the living room.  Shane stands at the doorway and looks at Jenny’s door once again.

At Carmen’s, she and Lara prepare to dance.

Carmen: Ready?

Lara: Yes.

Carmen presses play with her remote control before discarding it and music begins to play.

Carmen wraps her arms around Lara’s shoulders as the song starts with its soothing piano sound.  Lara’s arms wrap around Carmen’s waist and the two dance.

Alice and Dana begin to make love, content to each other and to themselves finally.

"’til the sun starts to cry
And the moon turns to rust

Bette finds herself breaking down in Tina’s arms as Tina is whispering, "I’m here, baby…I’m right here…"

"But I need to know – will you stay for all
Time…forever and a day"

Shane opens the door to Jenny’s room to see Jenny standing there with her arms crossed and tears forming.

"Then I’ll give my heart ’til the end of all
Time…forever and a day"

Max shuts off the television.  He leaves the living room for his bed that awaits in the studio room outside.

Jenny and Shane embrace.  There is no kiss, but it’s all there for them just the same.

Max buries his face against his hands as he sits at the edge of his bed.

"But I need to know – will you stay for all
Time…forever and a day"

Bette has cried herself to sleep and Tina keeps her held in close, watching over her.  Letting her go is no longer an option.

"Then I’ll give my heart ’til the end of all
Time…forever and a day"

Jenny and Shane collapse on Jenny’s bed, neither letting go of each other and neither wanting to.

‘Til the storms fill my eyes"

Alice: I love you.

"And we touch the last time"

Dana: I love you…

"I will love you, love you…"

Alice and Dana kiss once more.  They’re all they need now.

"I will love you, love you…"

Max looks off into space, tears in his eyes.  Be it a boy or a girl, man or a woman, crying still matters.

"I will love you, love you…"

Lara and Carmen have danced and kissed.  As the song fades, their tongues and lips become one with each other.  The song has ended, but for these two it’s just the beginning.
