Lara: Is this what you wanted, Dana?
Dana: Everyone seems happy. It’s kinda hard not to want that. I feel…like the luckiest person on Earth. I’ve retired a winner. I’ve beaten cancer. I have the the two women that I love and care so deeply about here with me…
Alice smiles as she listens.
Dana: …Anyone should be so lucky as I have. Y’know…there are so many people out there in the World right now…they don’t have anyone. And it’s sad…because no one should go through life without someone to be with.
Lara: …Yeah.
Alice: Well…it just gives us something to be thankful for. But…this is different. I mean…there’s three of us. I’m attracted to the two of you…and the two of you are attracted to each other…and to me. Who would’ve imagined this happening?
Dana: Remember that time on the cruise ship? When Jenny was shouting out questions about three-ways?
Alice and Dana share in a laugh as Lara thinks back to Dana’s statement about others having no one.
She shouldn’t be thinking of Carmen right now.
Shane and Dax dance close together, finishing their beers as they do. Then Shane sees her. Short red dress…black hair, great tan…and an ass to die for. She’s conflicted on what to do…stick with Dax or go after the babe in the short dress? And why does she look like…?
She shouldn’t be thinking of Carmen right now.
Carmen can feel the entire World’s eyes on her and her short red dress. She walks up to the target and her dance partner.
Carmen: Mind if I cut in?
The dance partner turns around and sees a familiar DJ intruding.
Gabby: Actually, I do mind, Miss Sugar.
Gabby’s dance partner’s eyes lock in with Carmen’s. Her eyes are so dark yet so bright at the same time. They’re captivating. Gabby looks back at her partner and sees the eyes no longer upon her.
Uta: I don’t mind.
Gabby: Whatever. You two have at each other.
Gabby begins to storm off as Carmen and Uta get to know one another.
Uta: Nice dress.
Carmen: Nice eyes.
Uta smiles, taking in Carmen’s essence. She sense to be careful with this one as she smells moisture from her eyes.
Dax sees Gabby walking over to Robin and Lacey. She doesn’t appear to be happy. Dax then looks over to where Gabby had been dancing and notices her ex-dancing partner now with the woman in the red dress. Before she can stop herself, the realization of who she is, forms from her mouth.

WOW! Ya made me feel bad for everyone (except for Tina). Really moving chap., the song worked perfectly. Great stuff.

All I can say is WOW!!
That was totally gut-wrenching… in a good way. I liked the lyrics intertwining with the individual scenes. Very visual effect, that. Welp, at least Angus and Kit and Max are sleeping well tonight. Lara has *got* to get herself out of that messed-up triangle. Bette and Tina seem done and dusted. I’m guessing Leigh might not prove to be enough of a distraction for Helena… she’ll be making her move soonish? Unless Winnie has something to say about it? And… you’ve done it. I finally have some sympathy for Carmen. Post when you can.
OK, finally the Lara/Dana/Alice tension is broken, phew, but ugh, Lara is awfully passive in this equation, which can’t bode nicely for her well-being. Maybe she and Carmen are two lonely hearts longing for companionship? I just hope they’d have more than angsty drama to base things on-not that there’s anything wrong with drama, lol…How long to Alice and Dana think this three-way can really go on? I enjoyed how you interwove the scenes this time with music. Love it, keep updating when you can, it’s feeding my fic crack habit…
