She holds her with great confidence and support on the floor, her back against the couch.  Leigh is enjoying her evening as her arms slide up and down Helena’s bare arms.  With no clothing over the top half of her body, Helena closes her eyes and takes in Leigh’s soothing hands…as Helena tries to keep Canada out of her mind.

Alice, Dana and Lara stand together with Dana in the middle.  They’re all linked by the arms as Alice reaches out for Lara’s right hand with her left hand.

Dana: …I guess now would be a good time to talk.

Her smile is clumsy.  Alice leans her head against Dana and kisses her softly on the left cheek as Lara looks on.

Lara: …That would be a good idea.

Alice: I know just the place.

It feels good to be alive again, Shane thinks to herself.  Women are everywhere and the night is still young.  She makes her way to the bar and immediately feels a hand on her back.  She looks over and sees a patron saint of partying.

Dax: Well, look who’s back in town!

Shane: Hey, what’s up.

Dax: Just enjoyin’ the night as always, babes.  How ’bout you?

Shane grins as she looks at Dax.

Shane: Happy to be here.

Dax looks at the bartender and orders two beers.

Dax: I would say, come and hang out with my roommates, but…one of ‘em’s, Lacey so…

Shane: Yeah…I think I’ll just stay over here where it’s safe.

Shane laughs as Dax smiles.

Dax: Look, the good news is that she doesn’t exactly obsess over ya nowadays.

Shane: That’s good.

Dax is handed her two beers as she pays the bartender and hands one of the beers to Shane.

Dax: So where’s DJ Sugar at?

Shane: Carmen?  …We broke up.

Dax: Damn.  That sucks.

Shane’s not here to talk about Carmen.

Shane: Wanna dance?

Dax grins, beer in hand.

Dax: Let’s go.

As Dax and Shane make their way to the floor, they both see Gabby dancing with someone else.  Shane also notices Lacey and another familiar face, Robin sitting at the bar, conversing.  Carmen once lied about cheating around with a woman named Robin.

Shane’s not here to think about Carmen.

Carmen enters the club and everyone who didn’t notice Shane already, now notice her…not as Shane’s girlfriend or ex-girlfriend, but as the hot babe that just entered the room.  She sees her target, dancing with another woman.  She could be smitten with her, but there’s no time to think about such things.  Tonight, it’s only about lust.  If it were about love, she’d be back at her apartment, still crying.
