Tina: It’ll be okay, Al.

Alice feels dejected, not wanting to go.  Carmen steps in, putting her right arm around Alice’s shoulders.

Carmen: C’mon, Al.  I’ll drive you.

Alice walks over to Dana.

Alice: Will you be alright without me?

Dana just grins.

Dana: I’ll get through it.

Alice sighs.

Alice: Alright…

Alice looks to the rest of the room.

Alice: If ANYTHING happens…call me right away.  I mean it.

Alice reaches down and kisses Dana’s lips and in a whisper…

Alice: Love you…

Dana’s voice whispers back.

Dana: Love you, too Al…

Alice begins to back away.

Dana: Al?

Alice: Yeah?

Dana: …If you hear from Lara…tell her I miss her.

Alice nods.

Alice: I will, baby.

Carmen and Alice walk out of the room.  Shane keeps her attention on Dana and away from Carmen.

She arrives at the frontsteps of Dana’s house.  She places her bags on the ground and sits at the step that leads to her front door.  Lara isn’t sure where else there is to go.

Bette and Helena meanwhile have arrived at Dana’s hospital room.  Max has already left, while Tina and Shane and Jenny remain there with Dana.  Kit and Angus have arrived moments sooner.  Dana smiles as she sees Helena.

Dana: Hey, Helena…

Helena: Hi.

Shane and Jenny notice Tina’s perplexed expression at seeing Bette and Helena enter the room together.

Carmen has dropped Alice off at her apartment.  While Alice collapses on her couch, Carmen sits in her car and debates internally where she wants to go.  She drives around, contemplating her broken relationship with Shane.  Could things be different.  Could it really be over?  Why can’t this work, she thinks to herself.  As Carmen drives, she finds herself on the same street that has Dana’s house.  She drives by the house only to slow down suddenly at the sight of someone sitting in her front yard.  Carmen hasn’t had a good day and this moment may be all she needs to relieve some stress.  Carmen begins to ponder if it’s a crazed papparazzi, looking to get a good shot at Dana in the event she winds up coming home soon.  But all of those thoughts fall away as Carmen realizes it’s Lara sitting there.  Lara looks up to see Carmen standing before her.  Carmen’s focus now shifts to concern, not of herself, but for Lara.
