    By the time the song ended the crowd of about ninety was entranced by the music, the singer and the couple swaying before them. Even Patty was loath to break the spell.

     

    “Damn ladies is it legal for you two to dance like that in public?” Patty shook her head in amazement.  “Ok WeHo now I understand this Bette and Tina, Tibet thing.

     

      So Tina…did you just tell Bette yes?”

     

    Tina turned to the voice that spoke but couldn’t focus enough to verbalize an answer so she just kissed Bette again in response.

     

    “I guess that’s all the answer we’re going to get” Patty chuckled.

     

    One two, one two there four….  Patty counted out loud taking the crowd with her into her next song. 

     

    Two days later they sat together again in Dr. Wilson’s office as she reviewed the results of their preliminary tests.  Her eyebrows rose causing them both to worry. 

     

    “Well it seems that either of you can ‘father’ this child and if you still prefer Bette to be the birth mother you have the option of at home insemination rather than in vitro.”  Dr. Wilson stifled a smile. “Tina’s sperm is quite vigorous and appears capable of fertilizing your egg while you are ovulating Bette.”

     

    “And my sperm?” Bette couldn’t help but ask.

     

    “Could fertilize an egg of Tina’s through invitro methods” Dr. Wilson concluded.  “We really don’t have large enough samples of female sperm from which to contrast but Tina’s is technically indistinguishable from male sperm.  It is fully developed and highly vigorous, it would be considered a high quality sample if presented to a sperm bank. This is the first sample of this caliber we have encountered.”

     

    Tina felt herself swell with pride.  It was a ludicrous pride she knew, she really could not take credit for have a high vigorous sperm count but her smile was smug.  She glanced at Bette who she could see was struggling with her alpha pride. 

     

    “So what is our next step?” Bette asked.

     

    “These preliminary results qualify you both to participate in this study.  You would surrender rights to your samples as well as be bound under the gag provision not to disclose that female sperm was used for fertilization.”

     

    “So either of our sperm could be used to fertilize other eggs?”  Tina was horrified.

     

    “Yes.”

     

    “And if we decide not to participate in the study what happens to our sample sperm and eggs?”

     

    “They are your specimens and you would be free to do with them as you please” Dr. Wilson admitted with respect for Bette’s quick thinking.  “You could deposit them as you did the donor sample before and they would be available only for your use at your will.”

     

    “Tina?” Bette knew what she wanted to do.

    2. Great story and great update. The possibility of two females being able to reproduce their own biological child is making a very interesting story. I’ll bet that Bette opts out of the trial and wants them to deposit their sperm at the donor clinic. She would never be comfortable thinking that her sperm or Tina’s could produce a child for someone else.

    6. This is coming along nicely. I doubt that Bette will like the idea that they could use what belongs to them to reproduce elsewhere. What an interesting concept to bring in, and daring as well. Excellent chapter. Please post soon.

    7. Kelika, I love it. Go Tina with your bad self. I can see Bette and Tina not liking the idea that someone else might be able to use their sperm to create a child. So there is only one option for them at this point.This is such a wonderful story. Oh the possibilities of female sperm, I’d love to see this work in the very near future for people that want it. PPS

    8. The idea of two women creating a child with their own egg and sperm is fasinating and incredibly exciting. It is not something we have heard of, yet is something many lesbians have dreamed of througout time. Maybe that’s why when reading this I could feel how strongly we equate vigorous sperm to alpha. The sperm is dominant, the egg submissive. In my head I think that they should both feel strong and alpha because of their eggs being strong and healthy, just as much as having viable sperm…but I get the feeling that (and maybe it’s because the idea of a female being able to help create a child by donating both egg and sperm is still a novelty) the eggs, while important, are something that all women posess (not healthy and viable though) so you don’t see them puffing out their chests in pride because of their eggs. It only seems to be when sperm comes into the equation that there is alot of chest puffing, struting out the alphaness. Like the sperm is the most important part of creating a child. Then again, maybe this is my own defenses coming into play. It has always pissed me off when I hear men say things like, ‘I knocked her up.’ or ‘I got her pregnant.’ Like the creation of a child was all about the man…his sperm. Like the woman and her egg had nothing to do with it. Anyway…I love the story…I ADORE your writing…I just thought it was interesting these thoughts that came into my head, feeling a little defensive about the part of a woman’s egg in creation. LOL Silly I suppose. Thanks Kelika…making me think so hard on this Sunday morning! :)

    13. Hello Kelika, That was perfect. First Bette and Tina with their friends owning the dancefloor. Awesome for others to witness the heat that they generate and release. Magical. Now the visit to Doc Wilson is adding excitement to the mix. I do hope these gals get their wish of a new child soon. More please of this brilliant tale. Your grateful and Loyal Fan.

    15. I love DR. Wilson great loophole. Now they can deposit thier sperm and use it whenever they want and they could be fathered by either one of the girls. PPASAYC
