Madison and Jack Porter Kennard were nearly 4 years old.  A year after their reunion, Bette and Tina decided they wanted to expand their family, and have a sibling for Angie.  They decided after a lot of discussion that Bette would be the birth mother.  It took over a year for the insemination to work.  They were surprised when they found out that Bette was having twins, but very happy at the news about their growing family. 

“Come join me here.  I hope you plan on sharing that blanket.” 

Bette handed Tina the wine and the glasses as she sat down in front of her partner, covering them both with the blanket she brought with her.  Tina filled one glass and set it on the dock, so she could fill the second glass, which she handed to Bette.  Bette leaned back into Tina, as Tina’s arms found their way to their familiar place around Bette.

“It is so peaceful here.  I’m so happy we found this place.”

“Me too.  It’s a perfect place for our family trips.  I know this was originally something that you wanted us to do.  But, I really look forward to this trip every fall.  So, what were you thinking about when I walked out here?”

Tina buried her nose into Bette’s hair, taking in the scent that she found so comforting and yet so arousing at the same time.  Tina pulled Bette more tightly into her.

“Mmm, I was thinking about our other trips here over the years with Angie and with the twins.  I can’t help but think about how lucky I am to have you and the kids and how wonderful our life is.  I was enjoying the view and thinking about the amazing sunsets we’ve shared here.”

“We have seen some really amazing views here, that is for sure.  We are both lucky.  We found our way back after all the damage and came out stronger.  We have an amazing family, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Bette turned her head, and placed her finger under Tina’s chin, bringing them together so that their lips could find their mate.  They exchanged soft kisses and words of love as the sky revealed the stars hidden during the day.  They sat together, watching for falling stars, enjoying the quiet of the night.
