Angelica giggled. “C’mon mamas!”
Tina laughed and reached for Angie’s hand. Bette began to follow, but she hesitated for a moment. She looked at a nearby table. With a few quick strides she had reached it and held out her hand. Ed hesitated for a second then grabbed it. Bette led her group of Ed, Lucas and Jamal and she joined hands with Tina.
“’And I’ll lead you all
Wherever you may be”
Helena had clasped the hand of Tasha’s friend and had then pulled a reluctant Shane to join them. A group of women rushed to be the first to grab Shane’s hand, and the line grew longer.
“And I’ll lead you all in the dance,’ said he.”
By then, the tune and words of the chorus had become familiar and many sang as Sonny completed each verse. When there were no more verses, the chorus rang out, over and over again.
“Dance, then, wherever you may be.
‘I am the lord of the dance’ said he.
‘And I’ll lead you all,
Wherever you may be,
And I’ll lead you all in the dance,’ said he.”
The two lines snaked through The Planet, each growing longer and longer. Some waited until an end reached them, but others broke in.
“Dance, then, wherever you may be.
‘I am the lord of the dance’ said he.
‘And I’ll lead you all,
Wherever you may be,
And I’ll lead you all in the dance,’ said he.”
Alice forced the lines to cross, and her followers ducked under the raised arms of two unlucky followers of Sonny and Kit.
“Dance, then, wherever you may be.
‘I am the lord of the dance’ said he.
‘And I’ll lead you all,
Wherever you may be,
And I’ll lead you all in the dance,’ said he.”
During one of the circuits, Kit noticed her kitchen staff watching. She waved at them to join. A few rushed back to turn off any open flames, but all soon were singing as they wove around the space.
“Dance, then, wherever you may be.
‘I am the lord of the dance’ said he.
‘And I’ll lead you all,

That was just as amazing and beautiful like your other stories. I have so missed your talented writing on this site. Can this be a possible return to the forum. I have so missed the “the wolve” story- “Backstory”. I was hoping that this was a version of that, but I am just as happy with the one I got.
