    Alpha Bette is back.

                   Bette arrived early at the University the next morning.  She was able to deal with the new artist in residence’s extensive list of needs and square them away.  She turned her attention to staffing and the need for a new professor of fine arts.  She was busy reading resumes of the current staff and applicants when she heard a soft knock on her door.  She glanced up and invited Phyllis her boss and the University president to come in. 

     

                “I’m really sorry about the command dinner last night but I had word that Rosanna Montclair could be a potentially big donor this year.”

     

                “It wasn’t as bad as I imagined, it was actually quite nice.”  Bette smiled in remembrance.  “Still it is not something that I will agree to in the future.  I am not for sale.  I will do what is needed to secure funds and donors still there are boundaries that I will not cross and last night was on the borderline.”

     

                “Understood.”  Phyllis nodded.  “It’s not something that I would normally ask you or any staff member to do.  My only defense is that Katherine, a close friend has spoken highly of Rosanna and I did not think any compromises of your integrity would be asked.  Oh, my!  I just realized that Rosanna is a lesbian and her insistence in having dinner with you could have involved her asking for something more.  Did she make untoward advances towards you?  I’ve wanted to explore that side of myself, as you know.  I just didn’t think…” Phyllis trailed off.

     

                Bette smiled to herself thinking how much Phyllis and Alice had in common.  Bette put her out of her misery. 

     

                “Rosanna was a charming dinner companion and it was quite painless, even pleasurable, I just didn’t like the way it was presented.”

     

                “So did she make a contribution?”

     

                “Yes.”  Bette remembered the envelope that she had put in her purse last night. 

     

                “So how much did she contribute?”  Phyllis asked back to business.

     

                “Let’s find out.”  Bette responded handing Phyllis the envelope that she retrieved from her bag.

     

                “Wow.”  Phyllis sat back re-evaluating Bette.  “It looks like you just paid for the new Art Building. I heard you were good.  I didn’t truly appreciate how good.”

    3. They will always have some control over each other. Like how they order the same thing for lunch and push the hair off their forehead together. Bette fouling Tina in the B/b game was priceless. Tina is a girlie girl. Glad that Bette is getting her self together. thanks

    4. I wondered why Bette was fouling Tina so much. I would have thought that Bette would have stayed miles away from her. Tina needs to some how make things better or it is all over and Bette will have moved on which would not only break Tina’s heart but mine also.

    6. Kelika, Good to see how you are twisting the current season into this story. Do I detect some heat between Bette and Rosanna? I think that this pairing could ignite the screen. Question is if it can sustain itself and develop into a loving partnership. It would be interesting to see Bette as the less successful partner given Rosanna’s wealth and position. Wonderful writing as Phyllis starts to ease out of the closet and Bette regains her sexual prowess. Will be waitng for your next post. Many Thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
