“Tina do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
“I do.”
“Bette do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
“I do”
“Do you have rings?”
“Yes” they answer in unison.
“Tina do you have something you would like to say to Bette?”
“Yes I do” Tina took Bette’s hand hers, looked deep into her eyes and spoke from her heart.
“Bette, our miracle lies in the path we have chosen together. I enter into this marriage with you, knowing that the true magic our love will be navigating life’s roads together. Let us commit to the miracle of making each day work together. Respecting each other, loving each other, we commit to share our lives together for all the days to come. I ask you to share this world with me, for all the good and tough times. Be my partner, and I will be yours.” Tina slid the ring on Bette’s finger, and wiped the tears from Bette’s cheeks. All along giving her the most loving smile.
“Bette do you have something you would like to say to Tina?”
“Yes I do.” Bette took Tina’s hand in hers. Bringing it up and placing a kiss on the back of her hand.
“Tina, T…you have brought so much meaning to my life. I am living my life now thanks to you. Thank you for taking me as I am; loving me, and making me want to be a better person. I promise to always love you, respect you as my partner and an individual, and to be faithful to you forever. Today I choose you to be my partner, and commit myself to you for the rest of my life.” Bette slid the ring on Tina’s finger, and gently kissed the tear from her cheek.
“By the power vested in me by the State of California, it is my honor to pronounce you married. Ladies I present to you for the first time Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Bette Porter-Kennard. Oh and of course you may kiss your bride!”
Judge Kroll’s chambers filled with cheers and tears as Skyler tugged on Judge Kroll’s robe.
“Yes honey?”
“Does this mean that we are all really a family now?”
“Yes honey it does!”
“With the same name?”
“With the same name!” Skyler wrapped her little arms around Judge Kroll’s legs.
“Thank you… thank you … thank you” was all the little girl could say.
Bette and Tina broke their kiss and leaned down and hugged their kids. Everyone watched on as this family celebrated their unity together for the first time.
Kit was the first to speak. “Congratulations Baby Girl! And Tina… welcome to the family sis. How about we all go home get changed and meet back at the planet for dinner at 5:00… my treat?”
“Kit you don’t have to do that!”
“Nonsense I will not let this day go by with out at least a celebration dinner.”
“Alright then everyone at the Planet at 5:00pm.”
“Judge Kroll.. would you please join us?” Kit asked.
“I would love to”
“It’s settled then everyone at the Planet at 5:00”
Everyone left the judges chambers with smiles gracing their faces. When the day started they knew it was going to be a special day, but none of them knew what all they would witness, what they would be a part of on this truly special day. The day that the Porter family, and the Kennard family became one in every possible way.

What a wonderful day they’ve had and so have we by getting to read this chapter of the story. The adoption and the wedding were a lovely addition to the story and told in such a loving and lovely manner. Everyone cooperating to make the a very special day for our girls. I love your snow days, they seem to bring out the writer in you (numerous posts). Sorry that it keeps you holed up but thanks for the post. So glad that they were able to adopt that kids and get married at the same time.

Hi TB513, Thank you so much for a most enjoyable and gorgeous day. Bette and Tina have united their families and become wife and wife all it one magnificent day. Loved the kids comments to the Judge. Priceless! Then the gang rallied round and pulled off a spectacular feat for their wedding. The rings and flowers just made the day ever so much more special. Kit was an absolute star.
