    Chapter 62

    “I normally would not even suggest this let alone in front of the children, from the looks of the the rings on your fingers the two of you plan to get married, am I correct?”

    “Yes.. yes we do once this little guy makes his grand entrance” Bette answered.

    “If it would be acceptable to the two of you I would be happy to marry you now, in my chambers, your names would change as of today along with the children’s, you could still have your wedding whenever you choose.”

    Bette and Tina looked at each other. Neither sure what to think of the offer.

    “T…. What do you think baby?”

    * * * * *

    “I don’t know Bette… we never really talked about doing it that way. I know how much it means to you to wait… to do it right.”

    “And I know how much it means to you to be married when Gavin is born. T I don’t want to be big as a house when we have our wedding, I want to be able to enjoy our day, our wedding, our reception, and our wedding night with out naps, being exhausted, and swollen ankles. We can still do that T even if we do get married today.”

    “Bette are you sure?”

    “T baby… I am so sure. When we talked about the wedding before and decided to wait we also thought that it would take us a lot longer than it did for the adoption. If you remember we figured it would be happening about the same time.”

    “We did… didn’t we” Tina said with a smile.

    “I want this T… I am ready for us to be a family in every way possible. There is nothing I would rather do.”

    “Then let’s do it!” The courtroom filled with cheers once again. Cheers from their children, cheers from their family, and even cheers from the staff and strangers in the courtroom who had been hanging on their every word silently pulling for this amazing family.

    Tina pulled Bette in for a kiss. An amazing kiss filled with love and promise of forever. A true meeting of souls that were destined to become one from the start.

Loved the kids comments to the Judge. Priceless! Then the gang rallied round and pulled off a spectacular feat for their wedding. The rings and flowers just made the day ever so much more special.
