    “Hands off… she is my keeper.” Bette said with a chuckle. “Some things never change do they?”

    “Maybe not, but it sure is nice to see a smile on your face again.”

    “It’s good to have a smile again!”

    “I should go”

    “Thank you for everything”

    “Your welcome… Bye”

    Bette sat back down next to Tina. “Is she for real?” Tina asked. Bette laughed she knew exactly what Tina was talking about.

    “I know she can be a little much to handle but she is the best.”

    “I’m sure she is… but if she calls me little lady again, I’m liable to knock her block off”

    “Aww… the southern charm I’ve grown to love.”

    Tina playfully slapped Bette’s arm. Bette pulled Tina over into her arms. “Do you feel a little better now T?”

    “A little… but I won’t be Ok until it’s over.”

    “Neither will I honey. I just hope you are a little more comfortable knowing we have a good lawyer on our side.”

    “I do baby…. but what I really need is you. I need you to make me feel safe.”

    Bette pulled Tina in closer. “What did you have in mind T?”

    “What time will the kids be home?”

    “Not until we call Shane and tell her to bring them home.”

    “Baby I need to feel you… take me to bed and make love to me.”

    Bette lifted Tina’s chin and kissed her. A kiss full of love, tenderness, passion, and a desire to make everything Ok.. even if it’s just for a little while.

    * * * * *

    “Hey girl what’s up?”

    “Kit have you talked to Bette today?”

    “No why? Is something wrong?” Shane was silent for a moment she thought for sure Bette would have called Kit already. Her thoughts were interrupted by a worried Kit.

    “Shane girl you better start talkin’… if there is something wrong with my sister or the baby you better spill it.”

    “Shit… no Kit it’s nothing like that.”

    3. I love seeing this family come together, not just Bette, Tina and the kids but Shane, Kit, Kate, Alice and Dana. They make life easier when you get smacked upside the head.

It’s a great chapter I have to say, and I love the fact that they have found a way and the right person to help them get through this, and I hope to see them happy again, I know that life is so full of everything good and bad, so these things must happen but it’s nice to see them having some peace of mind for awhile.     6. I agree with both B&T, it is more important to get this over with and their family secure, then to give Trevor the butt kicking he so richly deserves. But Trevor had better watch his back, because you never know who you will run into on the streets of LA (Maybe a pissed off Kit or Shane with one of their heavy duty male friends, hee hee). PPS :o).

    11. Enjoyed the chapter. I forgot the ex’s name is trevor, my dog is also named Trevor but he’s a sweetheart. Joyce is my girl, bad-assed lawyer, neckties, cigars and all. Ms. Lynch pulls this character off really well, just love her. Happy that Joce could make Tina feel better about this whole episode. trevor is an a–hole and Joyce will tear him a new one. Great chapter. PPS
