    “I’m sure she is… but if she calls me little lady again, I’m liable to knock her block off”

    “He doesn’t have a leg to stand on, this will not even make it to court. The question is do you want this to go away quick and pretty or do you want to incinerate the bastard?”

    “I just want my girls home safe with us where they belong.”

    “I have to agree with her on this one, as much as I would love to see him incinerated we have the kids to think about.”

    “I can’t make any promises but this should be resolved with a couple of phone calls. If he has a brain in his head that is.”

    “Huh! The jury is still out on that one.” Bette’s frustration was showing. She was fighting mad and felt helpless, and dangerous combination for Bette Porter. Tina placed her hand on Bette’s leg in hopes of calming her down a bit. Bette rested her hand on top of Tina’s letting her know that she got the message loud and clear. Joyce watched the silent communication between these two in amazement. She knew at that moment she would do everything she could to keep this family from harm. This was such a different Bette Porter than she had seen the las time. Deep down she knew Tina we the cause of this change. She knew was she was seeing was a new and improved Bette Porter of yesteryear, not the shattered shell of a woman she had seen in the aftermath of Jodi’s departure. No this was definitely not the same woman, and Tina had to be the reason for it.

    “Well ladies.. I should be going so I can get started on this. Try not to worry to much, he really doesn’t have a claim to the girls.” Joyce turned to Tina. “Take care of her Tina.. she’s a good woman.”

    Tina smiled. “I know she is…. and I plan on taking good care of her.”

    “Good… good….I will call you ladies as soon as I have some news for you.”

    “Thank you Joyce”

    “It’s my pleasure.” Bette walked Joyce to the door. “You take care of her… and those girls, She’s a keeper Bette.” Joyce said with a wink.

    3. I love seeing this family come together, not just Bette, Tina and the kids but Shane, Kit, Kate, Alice and Dana. They make life easier when you get smacked upside the head.

It’s a great chapter I have to say, and I love the fact that they have found a way and the right person to help them get through this, and I hope to see them happy again, I know that life is so full of everything good and bad, so these things must happen but it’s nice to see them having some peace of mind for awhile.     6. I agree with both B&T, it is more important to get this over with and their family secure, then to give Trevor the butt kicking he so richly deserves. But Trevor had better watch his back, because you never know who you will run into on the streets of LA (Maybe a pissed off Kit or Shane with one of their heavy duty male friends, hee hee). PPS :o).

    11. Enjoyed the chapter. I forgot the ex’s name is trevor, my dog is also named Trevor but he’s a sweetheart. Joyce is my girl, bad-assed lawyer, neckties, cigars and all. Ms. Lynch pulls this character off really well, just love her. Happy that Joce could make Tina feel better about this whole episode. trevor is an a–hole and Joyce will tear him a new one. Great chapter. PPS
