    Chapter 50

    “I know I don’t have to but you have been on your feet a lot today… and right now I need you home with me and not in a hospital bed… I need you Bette, I will not make it through this with out you.”

    “You won’t have to, I promise. I’m not going anywhere. I will be by your side every step of the way.” Bette took Tina in her arms and help her close for a moment, until Tina pushed her away.

    “Good! Now get in there and relax a bit before you can’t keep your promise to me.”

    “All right.. All right.. I’m going.. I love you T”

    “I love you to!”

    * * * * *

    “Hello… Please come in” Bette greeted Joyce with a nervous smile.

    “Well look at you… you said you were pregnant but you didn’t say you were that pregnant.”

    “Twenty-seven weeks”

    “Congratulations… Boy or Girl?”

    “It’s a boy”

    “Another boy huh?”

    “Yes” Tina joined at Bette’s side.

    “Joyce this is my fiancée Tina Kennard.”

    “Wow Porter… you’ve got yourself a knock-out”

    “Thank You” Tina said shyly… not completely sure how to take this woman.

    “I understand you are having some ex-husband troubles sweetie.”

    “Yes.. I am… Bette tells me that you are the best.”

    “I don’t know about the best, but I’m the toughest.”

    “How about we sit down so we can discuss things more comfortably.” Bette suggested.

    “Yes let’s”

    “Tina… I need you to tell me what has happened from the beginning. Don’t leave anything out.”

    Tina told Joyce everything about getting married to Trevor, the break up, him signing away his parental rights, to all the letters and phone calls she has received over the years.

    “Do you have all the paperwork Tina? I need to see the paperwork you got this morning, as well as the relinquishment of his parental rights.”

    Tina handed the paperwork over. “Do you think you will be able to help us?” she asked nervously, suddenly feeling the gravity of the situation once again.

    3. I love seeing this family come together, not just Bette, Tina and the kids but Shane, Kit, Kate, Alice and Dana. They make life easier when you get smacked upside the head.

It’s a great chapter I have to say, and I love the fact that they have found a way and the right person to help them get through this, and I hope to see them happy again, I know that life is so full of everything good and bad, so these things must happen but it’s nice to see them having some peace of mind for awhile.     6. I agree with both B&T, it is more important to get this over with and their family secure, then to give Trevor the butt kicking he so richly deserves. But Trevor had better watch his back, because you never know who you will run into on the streets of LA (Maybe a pissed off Kit or Shane with one of their heavy duty male friends, hee hee). PPS :o).

    11. Enjoyed the chapter. I forgot the ex’s name is trevor, my dog is also named Trevor but he’s a sweetheart. Joyce is my girl, bad-assed lawyer, neckties, cigars and all. Ms. Lynch pulls this character off really well, just love her. Happy that Joce could make Tina feel better about this whole episode. trevor is an a–hole and Joyce will tear him a new one. Great chapter. PPS
