“ Do you want some help, Tina?” Bette asked softly.
“No, no …” Tina forced herself to respond. “Please, take care of the food. This scent is killing me… I mean…I mean your sauce…your sauce…” Tina turned as fast as she could to hide her flushing face…Geez, Tina! You have to control your mouth for god sake! Her mind dazzling.
Bette also flushed, but her eyes and face opened in a bright smile.
When she answered Tina was not there…“Uh…Ok!”
Tina slowly moved through the house. She stopped in the middle of the hall. The door. Bette changed the door . The thought brought her a disgusting sensation… “She turned to look to Angie who was watching Tina’s movement. Tina’s right hand sensing the door. Her hand traveling against the wood. She looked to her daughter : “Boo, I’m so sorry… I mean it, sweetie! I’m so sorry… But I promise I´ll try my best…”
“I know you will…” Alice’s response surprised Tina.
Tina’s tearing eyes commoved Alice. “I know you will, Tina…Just be yourself…Talk…and think about what you really want from your life…”
Tina couldn’t answer. She looked Alice straight in the eyes…
Alice came to them. She took Boo from Tina’s embrace and lead them to the bedroom.
“Here lady! What do you want?” Alice laid Boo on the bed.
I think she needs to be changed…” Tina said smiling at their interaction.
“Oh… That’s a mom thing, Boo… Sorry…” Alice sat on the bed, by Angie´s side.
Tina decided to comment, to show what was crossing her mind and play fairly with Alice. “She´s so changed, Al… She’s…She´s…” Tina thought “God I’m having problems with words today…”
“Let me help you, Tina…She’s peaceful, she’s nice, she’s much more affectionate. She´s sweeter and respectful. She lost everything. She had to findnew beginnings. She still is discovering herself. She´s a hell of an alpha lady with the power to put people on their knees… Is she perfect? No…But I think the rest of her sins and wrongs could be forgiven…After all…:” Alice smirked to Tina “She’s all of that…” then pointed to the kitchen grinning… “And she still has that ass, damn!” Alice completed.
Boo was happy. It had been a while since she saw her mother laughing that way, so happy and relaxed…

Bette was happy. She had her friends around her. She loved her job. She felt more free and relaxed. She was learning a lot of things. But above all, she knew that this smile glued to her face was because the Thursday family night was complete: Tina and Angie were there.
She was lost in her thoughts and she didn´t pay attention to the door bell ringing insistently.
“Hmmm…Is somebody missing?” Kit asked.
“No…I don´t think so…” Bette answered preparing the gratin potatoes with parmesan cheese.
“It’s for you, baby sis…” is all Kit said.
“What? I´m not expecting anyone” She turned to look to Kit and she saw Jodi walking straight ahead to meet her.
She said hi to everybody and turned to Bette.
“I forgot today was family day…” She sighed. “I thought that we could pass some time alone, relaxing a while. I guess I was wrong… I need that Thai massage soooo much… I worked so hard today…How are you doing, honey?”

UGH WOMEN…WHY????lol couldnt jodie gotten lost for this one that was soo wrong women.*wink*okay im ready for the cat fight now.wow bette can cook now and many other things very good and she impressed tina even better.we all knew bette was all aplha women it was in her soul hidding wanting to come out.please post soon. Bummer, what a way to suck out all the fun. Ok, at least Tina can see what she’s up against. A Jodi can see she doesn’t belong.
I really enjoyed this post. The flow of the story was excellent, beginning with the definitions which set the stage and family night…wow. I felt like I was there. Love the way the gang responded to seeing B&T together. Love the interaction between the two of them. I also love the way Bette has grown. Excellent job. PPS.
That was just mean to have Jodi show up the first time Tina comes for family night. She just needs to go bye bye.

OooOOO well Tina, I don’t know quite what to say except you didn’t fight to get your woman back before, you got all pissy and chose not to try to regain a trust over the affair, and now that Bette has moved on, wellllll….guess you just have to accept it OR…plant those heels in the ground and begin to win that woman back. You let her walk before, don’t stand by and let her continue down a road you think won’t complete her. OMG…now I am talking to the characters like my friend Tylo. Honey…BRING ON THE DRAMA!!!!!!! I knew that it was Jodi. I am hoping that she feels left out and decides that she needs to leave before Tina walks out with Boo. Once she sees Tina she will not leave because I am sure that she can feel that she does not have all of Bette. She has to know that Tina is still imbedded in Bette’s heart and that any type of shove will send Bette running back into Tina’s arms or vise versa.
