As Tina said this, she remembered where she heard those words the last time. Bette had begged and pleaded for Tina to understand, she never meant to sleep with Candace, that she never meant to hurt Tina. Back then she didn’t believe a word that Bette told her. Now Tina was saying the exact same words and she knew it was the truth. The realization made her crying begin again.
“I want you out of here, Tina… I want you gone… now,” Henry said and dried off his tears.
“…but…” Tina gasped.
“No, Tina. I can’t look at you right now. You can come back for your things in the weekend. We can discuss what we’re going to do about Mikey then. You can see him when you’re here… but I don’t want to see you until then,” Henry said. He turned around and left Tina.
The heart was thundering in her chest and the tears kept coming. She had no idea what to do next. Henry’s words were ringing in her ears: you went and got yourself a substitute… you’re going to break his heart too. Tina was as disgusted with herself as Henry was at that moment.
She sat in the garden for another ten minutes, while she calmed down a little. She got up, grabbed her cell phone, and went to her car. She leant her forehead against the steering wheel and cried her heart out. Tina was still trembling, when she dialed Bette’s number.

Bette was having dinner with Kit. Kit had brought the food and the conversation flowed with ease. Kit still couldn’t quite believe the progress Bette had made. She wasn’t drinking and she was eating. For such a long time it had been the other way around – drinking and not eating. As Kit was looking at Bette, she noticed that Bette was beginning to look her old self. Still a little skinny and tired… but she was definitely getting better.
“What are you staring at?” Bette smiled.
“I’m staring at you, sis… you look good,” Kit grinned.
“Aww thanks, Kit. You don’t look so bad yourself…” Bette laughed.
“So you’re seeing Tina on Thursday… are you looking forward to that?” Kit asked, knowing very well it was a ridiculous question.
“I can’t wait to see her, Kit… but I’m also scared out of my mind about it. I have no idea what she expects from me. She said she misses me as a friend… that she needs me as a friend. I want to be there for her in every way she needs, but we were never just friends. I don’t know if she expects me to be able to form a long lasting friendship with her… cause if she does, it’s going to be difficult…”
“…don’t you think, you’re getting ahead of yourself here? You’ve been literally dying to have her in your life, in whatever capacity, for the longest time… and now she’s here. Why don’t you just take a few days to enjoy that, before you go ahead and create problems where there are none?”
“You think I’m over-thinking things?” Bette asked with a little smile.
“Yeah, a little… I want you to be proud of the progress you’ve made… and I don’t want you to jump to conclusions about what Tina wants from you,” Kit said.
Bette thought about what Kit was saying and nodded in agreement.
“…and by the way, Tina knows that you were never just friends… you were always more than that… but I’m pretty sure she’s not ready for anything more right now.”
“…so you’re telling me to be patient. I get that a lot these days…” Bette laughed.
“mmm, as difficult as you may find it, I think it’s the best strategy right now…” Kit smiled.

As long as B&T are on the same page (and we seem to be, too), I’m good for now… though I’d be lying if I said my mind went to PHONE sex…. anyway, happy dance. Post more soon (readers are so demanding, don’t you think? ;) )
I love that Tina is being strong and that Bette is supporting her. Now they can start to move forward. pps
Tina was honest with Henry and he has the rigth to be angry but Tina was in the correct when she told him that he knew the condition and the Tina’s past when they started the relationship. Now Tina will have do deal some hard time but she has Bette that will support her.
well henry knew the deal way up front… tina never lies to him… and i also think its the best idea for her to live some where else for now… they have to learn to trust each other… be best friends dirst… and then hopefully find the love they have for each other again… you are doing a wonderful job with this… i love it… so keep up the good work… later babe…

It would have been so easy for Tina to go to Bette now, but glad to see her realize she needs to rely on herself and not on Bette so much. Great chapter and can’t wait for the next one. They will be able to work it out because the love is still there. Thanks!
not too slow, and i agree with others, tina needs to figure out why she did all those things and what she wants before going back to bette, at least she knows that bette is there for her

For once they seem to be taking their time. Even though they both want to cuddle with the other, they know that in the end they have to be stronger as an individual.

Tina is right she shouldn’t go back to Bette. They need to get to know each other and to trust each other again. Be best friends before thinking of being lovers. Hey,I believe that old Henry wanted a housewife and a bed partner,and someone to take care of Micky. He is as guilty as Tina. thanks

So sweet and so wonderful. Please have Tina go to Bette eventually and let Bette be a friend to her or something! It is time to start communicating and let each other back in one another’s hearts.

Why did the line suddenly go dead…Henry hasn’t gone burko has he??? Don’t let T come to any harm and lead her back to Bette soon…
It’s sad that lil Mikey will be the one to get hurt but it had to be done to move forward. Henry knew what he was up against…he was up against 8 years of love to his what 8 months of cohabitating…get real Henry. She did the right thing in going to a hotel…they need to take it slow and possibly date again.
