“Hey, what do you think?” Tina said, peeking into the bedroom.
Bette turned around at the sound of Tina’s voice, “I think the apartment is great, Tina… very nice… can you afford it?”
“Yes, I can… I might have to do some freelance work for Alphaville… but I wouldn’t mind that actually…”
“Ok, is that possible?
“Yeah, I get calls about coming back all the time…”
“Do you like the apartment?” Bette asked as they walked side by side through the living room and out on the balcony.
“It seems close to perfect… the neighborhood is great… the size of it is decent, I like the kitchen – the bathroom needs a little work, but I can live with that…”
“So you’re getting your own place, huh?” Bette smiled and nudged Tina.
“It looks like it…” Tina said with a dubious look on her face.
“Are you ok, T?” Bette asked and placed her hand palm down on Tina’s back, rubbing her soothingly.
“Yeah, I’m ok… it’s just weird, that’s all…” Tina said, looking down at the ground from the balcony.
“Is everything happening too fast…?”
“…no…. I don’t know… it’s just, a year ago I would never…”
“You should be proud of yourself… this is what you said you wanted, your own space, and now it’s happening…” Bette said, combing her fingers through Tina’s hair.
Tina let out a little laugh, “I don’t even have any furniture…”
“You can have anything you want from the house and the rest you can buy… details, Tina…”
“Yeah, details….” Tina smiled and nudged Bette back.

It was a couple of weeks after Tina had moved into her new apartment. She had spent her every free moment working on her new home, cleaning, painting, and decorating. Alice, Dana, Shane, and even Bette had helped. Every time she had let anyone know, she could use a helping hand, the whole gang had been there within the hour. Tina was awfully touched by her friends’ willingness to spend their time moving furniture and painting baseboards. But they did and Tina was grateful. Bette had always been the type to pay others to do work around the house, but in this case she worked like a horse without complaining. It seemed as if Bette had made some changes, and Tina really liked what she saw.

These two are sooo cute together. When they are remembering their past together or making new memories both Bette and Tina light up like a Christmas tree. Have fun with your girlfriend and enjoy your time together.
