Dr. Sullivan had foreseen this turn of events, but she tried to make the best of it and grinned at Shane. “You know, McCutcheon, if it would have been me you stood up, I’d have hunted you down and fed you to Mr. Porter… in tiny little pieces !”
“Hey….” Shane was grateful for the dose of humor. “And you know damn well that he wasn’t even in the country then !”
Jenny, Kit and Max bellowed and Angus and Marina looked lost.
“Mr. Porter ?” Angus asked his girlfriend with round eyes.
“He is…” Kit started…
“Aaaah, Bette’s man… ” Max tried…
“I love him…” Jenny piped in…
Twilight Zone, part 2404 in the making. That was the stunned expressions on Marina’s and Angus’s faces.
One by one got quiet and the people at the next tables held their breath at what had suddenly transpired over there. Eerie stillness…. and then everyone erupted in fits of drunken laughter which could not be described but had to be witnessed.
They held onto the next-seat person, regardless if friend, current, ex, male or female.
Jenny had her hands full of Marina and nearly got lost in those eyes. Marina felt stone cold sober all of a sudden and nearly bent her head to kiss Jenny. Whose eyes widened at the thought of the exact same thing.
April and Shane had ended up in each others arms, instinctively turning to the other woman. “Thank you, A.” Shane mumbled in April’s ear who just nodded.
And Kit was flanked by Angus and Max who had turned to look at Kit for the explanation of the Mr. Porter remark before the fit.
And that was the scene Alice walked on in.
She just stood there, eyes wide, mouth open and took all she was seeing in. Each person in their situation at the table ingrained into her memory.
She took the place besides April and finally said, “THIS is maniac central, isn’t it ?”
And a new round of laughter was in the making. This time no one felt the need to look for an explanation, because the ‘I care’-phase was long gone.

Okay its better than better. Love Blue aka Mr Porter. If Bette is happy with Helena then so shall I be. The gang is so full of life. Shane is cute with April. Marina will do her best to win her love back. Blue is so cute watch his mistress sleep and dreaning of a gift for. I’m a cat lover. I really really love the story.Never doubt that. thanks

I love that you’re bringing Marina back into the fold. She’s such an interesting character with much potential, not to mention that I like Jenny a lot better with Marina.
Hey Kijuma- Boy, does that Blue have a great life or what? Is it wrong that I’m jealous of a cat??? Anyway, you definitely didn’t disappoint w/ this chapter. PPS! And Blue lying on Bette’s tummy being stroked is just the cutest scene ever.
Hey Kijuma…another excellent post dear as always. I am sorry you are sick…I have worked really hard now I get some time off so I can spend some quality time with Susannah and maybe we will invite the neighbors over for a BBQ or maybe they will have one and invite us. Please post again real soon.

Good chapter. Lol B&H, they are cute and sweet and funny, love them. Blue is smart and cute, and I think maybe I will have a cat some day lol and hope the cat is smart like Blue. Ok now whats happen to Alice. Anyway Im glad to catch up with your story and love it, can’t wait to see more, thanks!!
Kijuma, You know I love ya!! I love this story too,with interaction with Bette and Helena and Mr Porter. You do capture his feelings quite well!! Of course I help pay for the house so sky doesn’t have to work so hard…then maybe I would get to see her more too…Sky….

You have a way with words and it’s not even you own language, I’m in awe. Bette and Helena are good together you are portraying them just the way I would like to see them. Women who know were they stand for but not overly Alpha. I just looooove Blue, you’re description of him is so vivid…I can almost hear him snore.But who the f*ck is with Alice?
