“Kit, sorry about earlier. But, girl, you were a little…” Alice was unsure how to proceed.
“It’s okay, Alice. I was out of line. I don’t know what came over me, to be honest. It’s really not my place to tell her how to live her life.” Kit admitted.
“Well, I for one think it’s a mother-to-be-thing. Hormones running rampant and the need to protect the cubs.” Shane smiled broadly.
Jenny and Alice snickered and Kit laughed. “That must be it. Okay, girls, some serious stuff now. What were you saying about Tina ?”
“Oh, I forgot to mention. We met my earthdaughter, Mikey, Tina and that boytoy of hers at the grocery store this morning. It was really weird. Her being so… I don’t know… hetero-domesticated. It’s a shame, you know. We never really talked, you know.” Alice ‘blabbermouth’ Pieszecki couldn’t stop herself now.
“I mean, she said that Mikey had a soccer game today and all of them together looked like a promotion for All-American-Family. Not that that’s a bad thing, but….”
“Alice, stop. We got it.” Shane interrupted.
“Yes, Alice, we got it. We just have to be really careful now. When and not if anymore, I believe, Bette and Helena are together…” Jenny tried to stear the topic of discussion into the needed direction.
“Oh boy, more drama, just what we need.” Kit grinned.
* * *
While driving, Bette held Helena’s hand.
“Darling, where are we going ?”
“Patience, Lena, patience.” Bette kidded. “We’ll be there soon enough.”
“If you say so.” Helena squeezed Bette’s hand.
“Do you mind to tell me a little more about your morning, Bette. I think I sensed some unsaid things about this house business.”
For a few seconds Bette shifted a little uncomfortable in her seat. Then she gave Helena the unabridged version of her morning. In grand detail, including her whole conversation with Shane regarding her feelings for the woman who now listened intently.
Helena’s eyes grew wider by the second. Bette’s review of her morning had her hold her breath two or three times. When all was said, Bette took a quick look at Helena, but had to concentrate on driving.

Thanks for posting Kijuma. This is a small world…you and Belana told me & Susannah to get a room and damn if I didn’t reserve a room right next door to Bette & Helena at the Hotel Casa del Mar. Are you ready Susannah? I am not sure if we are ready to go to the “next level” so I have with me a deck of cards, a scrabble game, Connect 4, Battleship, Operation and some “Rock em Sock em robots. I also have 2 barf bags cause I think Bette & Helena will be going at it all night…these rooms aren’t cheap. So what do you say Susannah buddy…where are you?

well sky, I am very pleased, cos that sounds absolutely perfect!! I will bring some dvds also, and a nice bottle of wine and we will have a wonderful time. I’m a little unsure about the rock em sock em robots though!! What I want to know is why kijuma and belena think we should get a room, we are just good friends at this point! I will see you at the room!!! I agree with you that Bette and Helena will be going at it all night, we will be hearing lots of oh God..and the like…
