Chapter 12
Out in the parking lot, Helena couldn’t wipe the smile from her face. “Where to, Darling ? Your place or mine ?”
Bette laughed heartily at that. “Lena, I don’t know about you, but I would like to have privacy for our talk. So your place seems not the right one. I don’t think I’d like Alice to walk in…”
“Sorry, Bette, I always wanted to use that tacky line on you.” She grinned.
“Very funny, Ms Peabody. Very funny. But seriously, Lena. Would you feel comfortable to go to my house.” Bette looked at her questiongly.
“Darling, I don’t care were we are going. I just want to be alone with you.” She blushed. “No, that came out wrong again. We really need to talk and…”
They stood by Bette’s car now and Bette unlocked the door. “Hop in, I know the perfect place.” She helped Helena settle in and smiled mysteriously.
Helena waited for Bette to get in on the drivers side and asked, “Bette, why do you think I don’t like going to your house ?”
Bette turned her head to look Helena in the eyes. “I don’t know about you, but I would love to make a fresh start. And that house is just a place to sleep for me at the moment. And even that… So, Lena, bear with me, okay ?”
“Darling, it’s as I said… I don’t care about the where, it just matters that you are going to be there with me.”
Bette took Helena’s hand and placed a gentle kiss on her knuckles.

By the time Kit and Shane arrived at the table, Alice and Jenny were discussing the newest turn of events.
Alice was just pointing out about how unhappy Tina would be with a possible Bette and Helena.
“Jen, I don’t know, but we have to keep this one quiet for some time.”
Jenny looked incredulously at her. “Ahem… Al…”
Shane and Kit took seats.
“Where are they ?” Kit asked, still smiling.
“You just missed them.” Jenny answered.
“Damn. Okay, then I have to apologize to my baby-sis later.” Kit blushed.

Thanks for posting Kijuma. This is a small world…you and Belana told me & Susannah to get a room and damn if I didn’t reserve a room right next door to Bette & Helena at the Hotel Casa del Mar. Are you ready Susannah? I am not sure if we are ready to go to the “next level” so I have with me a deck of cards, a scrabble game, Connect 4, Battleship, Operation and some “Rock em Sock em robots. I also have 2 barf bags cause I think Bette & Helena will be going at it all night…these rooms aren’t cheap. So what do you say Susannah buddy…where are you?

well sky, I am very pleased, cos that sounds absolutely perfect!! I will bring some dvds also, and a nice bottle of wine and we will have a wonderful time. I’m a little unsure about the rock em sock em robots though!! What I want to know is why kijuma and belena think we should get a room, we are just good friends at this point! I will see you at the room!!! I agree with you that Bette and Helena will be going at it all night, we will be hearing lots of oh God..and the like…
