    Tina has a surprise for Bette!

    Chapter 23-

    Bette woke from her afternoon nap and looked around. The meeting with the social worker in the morning really mentally exhausted her. Bette glanced across the room and noticed that Tina was sitting by herself at the table and had made a make shift office work station. Bette smiled to herself seeing Tina intently working on something that her deep in thought and typing on her computer. Tina must have fallen asleep with Bette and then got up to do some work.

     

    Bette said “T? You busy?”

     

    Tina looked startled and then grinned when she saw Bette looking at her “Hey you…”

     

    She got up from her seat and went over to Bette’s bedside and sat down and said “Hi sleepyhead, are you feeling better now that you got a rest?”

     

    Bette said “I feel more rested. Do you need to work? Am I bothering you?”

     

    Tina said “No silly. You are never bothering me and you are a welcome distraction to work!”

     

    Bette said “What are we going to do now that we have the rest of the weekend free?”

     

    Tina said “I have an idea. I was going to take you on a walk, what do you think of that? And I have a surprise for you!”.

     

    Bette said “A surprise? You do?”

     

    Tina said “Yes, would you like to see it? We just have to get you in a wheel chair so that I can take you for a walk and then I can show you my surprise”.

     

    Tina got Bette up and out of bed and helped her fix herself up a bit to face the outside world. Bette was strangely hesitant to leave the safe confines of the hospital where she had taken refuge for the last couple of weeks. After Tina straightened herself up a bit and grabbed her backpack, she turned to Bette and gave her the thumb’s up sign.

     

    Tina let the nurses station know that she would be taking Bette for a walk and leaving the immediate hospital property for a little bit. It felt strange to be checking in with a nurses station, but she didn’t want them to worry about Bette if they were gone for a little while.  When they got to the bottom floor of the hospital, Tina wheeled Bette out the front entrance. She was steering with a purpose and Bette could tell she had a mission in mind.

    2. Great update. I missed the story. A nice hot bath for two. Glad that Bette is talking to Tina about her feelings and doing what comes natural. (wink, wink) PPS

    3. the way Bette is moving around she is sure on the road to recovery…”doing what natural”..awwh is that what they are callilng it now. I hate that Jodie did something so malicious…she deserves what coming to her.

    7. Damn jodi, she is still in the middle of Bette and Tina and she is not even present. I am glad that Bette is opening up to Tina about her fears. Between Bette and Tina, their shared love will see them through this entire mess.

    8. Wow, I love this story. Poor Bette and Tina. I don’t think Bette is quite ready for that, but I understand why she’s trying to rush herself. Everyone is different, and I hope this will do her good rather than make the problem worse. They are so adorable together! Thanks for posting and PPS!

    9. Poor Bette. She’s trying, but if she’s not totally ready, she shouldn’t force it… But maybe this is her way of getting on with her and Tina’s life. Ugh, Jodi needs drawn and quartered right about now. Thanks for the post

    10. I have no idea how one overcomes what happened to Bette. Some need a lot of time whereas others just jump in the water. Anyhow, I hope she didn’t jump too soon. I missed this story as well. Thanks for taking the time to write. PPS!

    14. After seeing Tina naked Bette has changed her mind and I don’t think she should have done that since she really does not yet feel secure and I think Tina should be very careful with her. Great update. I think Bette should tell the police and let them deal with jodi. Or at the least let Tina or Kit kick her behind.
