Bette and Tina: Your Love Is My Drug

“Bette,” She just stares at me fore a second, probably not believing I’m back so soon, she comes out to stand out on the porch with me to give me a hug,

“Where did you go?” she pulls back to look at me, leaving her hands on the back of my neck, holding my head so I had to look at her,

“I told you I had to wash my car,” I hope she believes me,

“It rained just yesterday,” That’s right, it did. I look down but she uses her hand to lift my chin,

“You’re something else let me tell you,” She laughs and leans in to kiss me, I blush and look down,

“Come inside baby,” I look back up and walk through her door, kind of nervous. She goes to sit on the couch and pats the spot next to her; I go sit next to her but with a little space between us.

“I’m sorry…” I don’t really know what to say, I feel stupid, like a big idiot. This is how Tina makes me feel, but in a good way of course; in a scary way too.

“You don’t have too be sorry Bette, because I love you too,”

I sit there staring down at my hands in my lap, with Tina’s overlapping mine. I hear those words that I was dying to hear, say something Bette!

“You… uhhhh… You love me?” I really needed to ask, because I couldn’t believe it. She smiles at me, with that adorable smile that makes me fall in love with her all over again. I think I fall in love with her 1000 times a day.

“Of course, I was shocked that you actually said it first,”

Bette looked at Tina seriously, “I’m not sorry I said it,”

“I’m definitely not sorry you said it either,” She pulled me closer to her and we kissed, it was a sweet kiss, like one I’ve never felt with her before, like a kiss you have after you tell someone you love them. I’ve never felt it before; Tina is my first.

“I’m so lucky to have you,” I said after I pulled back from the kiss, I brought my hands to her cheeks, and just held her face in my hands, my thumbs caressing them.

“And I am lucky to have you,” She places her hands on my arms and holds them,

“Do me one favour though,” I lean closer to her face, not to kiss her, but to be closer to her I can smell her beautiful scent, a scent I can’t seem to live without.

    “Anything,”

“Don’t run from me Bette,” she says seriously, I don’t know if I can promise her that, I get frightened easy,

“I can’t promise you that, but I can promise you one thing,” She pulled my hands away from her cheeks and holds my hand in hers.

    “What,”

“That if I do run, no matter what path I take, it will always lead me back to you,” she smiled big at this, and all I could see was white teeth coming from her. I just fell in love with the love of my life all over again.

    2. Absolutely beautiful, moving – a true jewel…
I don’t think you’ll ever read such a late comment but right now I don’t care, I just had to write it.
      Thank you !!!

… by the way, it touched me deeply because, well, I’m quite like your Bette – I am, really…
