Bette: “Its ok. You were trying to help. I appreciate it.”
Kit: “So what happened with Harmony? I thought things were going well with her.”
Bette felt that sting of pain again and sat back down.
Bette: “Her best friend professed her love to her in an email today.”
Kit: “Wow! Well at least she was honest and told you about it, that means she cares.”
Bette: “No she didn’t tell me. Our phones got mixed up. I read the email she sent.”
Kit: “Damn. Well what happened?”
Bette: “I gave her the phone back and left.”
Kit: “You didn’t talk about it?”
Bette: “No I pretended to not even see it.”
Kit: Why would you do that?”
Bette: “I wasn’t sure about how I felt then. I didn’t want to interfere in what could be true love for her.”
Kit: “Interfere?”
Bette: “Yes I didn’t want to be selfish and keep her from Roxanne and I’m not 100% if I love her not. That would have been selfish. Like Tina.”
Kit: “Well as selfless as you are, I have to say that wasn’t so bright.”
Bette looked at Kit confused.
Kit: “Well even if you’re not totally sure if you love her not, you do care for her don’t you?’
Kit already knew the answer to that question but she still wanted Bette to answer.
Bette: “yes”
Kit: “So you owed it to yourself and her to tell her how you felt about this new development. You should have made her aware that you weren’t 100% of how you felt but means a lot to you and you’d like her to keep you in as she considers, what’s her names, offer. Why don’t you still tell her this?”
Bette: “it’s too late now. She’s weighed her options and made a decision.”
Kit: “How do you know that?”
Bette: “I went over there after I got into it with Tina. After Tina kissed me I was sure that I loved Harmony. That I wanted to be with her. But when I got there Harmony was in the shower and Roxanne answered the door wearing one of Harmony’s shirts. She had this smug ass grin on her face I would have liked to whipe the floor with.”

Another great chapter, Vibes. Thanks for the update. I love this story. Just one request… and this isn’t confined to you…Can we, just once, get these women who clearly love each other to just SHUT UP long enough to LISTEN to each other and get some clarity about their lives and situations, before running off… with half truths?… Can we have that… just once? Gosh.

Ok I’m still rooting for Harmony and Bette. But, it’s kinda fucked up that she gets to semi explain herself but bette doesnt
