Bette drove around aimlessly for hours. She didn’t know where to go. She didn’t want to go home and face Tina she didn’t feel like arguing and explaining. She went to the closets thing to home she had, Kits house. It was late but she knew Kit wouldn’t turn her away. When she pulled up she noticed Angus’ bike out front. She reasoned that family took president. She approached the door and rang the bell. After a few mins with no answer she rang it again. Kit came to the door looking disheveled and annoyed.
Kit: “What?!”
She froze when she saw it was Bette.
Kit: “Bette? Hey. What’s wrong?”
She clearly saw something was seriously wrong.
Kit: “Come.”
Kit stepped aside and Bette sat in the living room. Kit went and closed her bed room door. She then joined her.
Kit: “What happened?”
Bette: “What didn’t happen would be an easier question to answer.”
Kit: “Is it that bad?”
Bette: “Well lets see. Tina claims she still loves me and want to fix our relationship, yet she’s still sleeping with that man, Harmony’s best friend is in love with her, she too claims she loves me but first chance she gets she sleeps with her. As soon as I made a decision about how I feel about her, no less.”
Kit: “Whoa wait. Tina’s still sleeping with that guy?”
Bette nodded and she angrily got up and paced the room.
Kit: “She didn’t tell me that.”
Bette stopped.
Bette: “What did she tell you?”
Kit sighed heavily.
Kit: “She told me she was going to tell you she wanted you back.”
Bette: “Why didn’t you tell me? You let me blindly walk into this horrible situation.”
Kit: “It wasn’t my place. And I felt she needed to talk to you.”
Bette: “Well thank you Kit but don’t you think its up to me what’s best for me?!”
Kit: “Yes. I was trying to help. Your family is what’s most important. I was trying to possibly get it back together.”
Bette was silent.
Kit: “That was before I knew Tina was getting her groove thang on with lover boy. I’m sorry about that.”

Another great chapter, Vibes. Thanks for the update. I love this story. Just one request… and this isn’t confined to you…Can we, just once, get these women who clearly love each other to just SHUT UP long enough to LISTEN to each other and get some clarity about their lives and situations, before running off… with half truths?… Can we have that… just once? Gosh.
