    Alice nearly fainted when she realized Dana was talking about 8 AM. Come on Piezecki, waking up early once to have coffee with a gorgeous athlete is not going to kill you.

    Chapter 8

     

    “Oh man,” Dana said quickly before turning around, hoping she wasn’t recognized.

     

    “What is darling are you okay,” Sharon questioned.

     

    “Huh? Oh.. yeah.. yes.. just fine… I just remembered I forgot something in the locker room. I’ll be right back.”

     

    With that Dana jogged to the locker rooms, her mind going a mile a minute. Upon entering, she took a seat on the bench hoping that if she just waited a few minutes the cute blonde would have left.

     

    “What are you still doing here Fairbanks? I thought you going out to dinner with your mom before heading back to the hotel,” Jamie asked confused to see her friend randomly staring into space.

     

    Dana quickly jumped up and looked around before pulling Jamie back to sit on the bench with her.

     

    “She’s out there.”

     

    “Who? You’re mom.”

     

    “No. I mean yes my mom is out there you saw her. She came to watch the tournament and is hoping to talk to the Bruins tennis coaches tomorrow. But… wait way off topic here… Alice.. the girl I practically killed because I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and just plowed into her and spilled….”

     

    “Yeah, I member now- you spilled her coffee. So? Go and talk to her.”

     

    “No..no..nonono… bad idea. Not only was she out there but she was out there talking with this guy who was hanging all over her.” Jeez why can’t being gay come with a radar… or a secret decoder ring or something. It would make my life so much easier and I cold stop lusting after straight girls.

     

    “Bummer, well…  

     

    Anything she would have said was cut off by the arrival of Mrs. Fairbanks.

     

    “Dana, lets get a move on. We have reservations for 6 o’clock. I don’t want to get you back to the hotel too late. You need your rest before your matches tomorrow,” Sharon said obviously frustrated.

     

    “Yeah mom, sorry.” Turning to her friend Dana said a quick goodbye and after Sharon exchanged quick hellos and goodbyes. The Fairbanks women left the locker room.

     

    They made it to the parking lot when a voice called out and caused them to pause.

    1. Woot! Now I am glad I had to work late so I could see your new chapter!! I am always in the mood for Danish. The flour car thing sounds pretty evil. Sounds like you paid them back good. Secret decoder ring — Hee! You are doing an excellent job writing Danish and building the relationship off that initial attraction. It’s great that Dana feels the pull to be a friend even if (she thinks) they can’t be more. Good for Alice to get the assignment and approach Dana. It is great how relaxed Dana is with Alice.     2. Okay I think I have a cricket in my room. Jeez…. ’twas random, wasn’t it? lol but I love this! That’s right, Fairbanks! You better work your butt off to compete against both genders! Hmmm… I’m loving this :)

I have to echo the above comments, minus the cricket thing with pandakse, LoL Way to go Dana, she actually talked, even though it was about tennis she still talked and managed to do so with spilling or knocking something over. Hopefully Alice will be a regular at the matches, that would be Sh*T hot. I’m glad that Sharon seems to like Alice now…cant say that she will later but you’re doing an excellent job! Thanks so much for another excellent chapter!
