Chapter 6-
Oh my God… just kill me now
“I am so sorry. Are you okay? Your drink didn’t burn you did it? I am so sorry. I’m a klutz, everyone says so. Jeez, just plowing into you. Do you need I doctor? I so sorr..”
“You’re sorry got it. And it okay, just breathe,” the blonde cut into Dana’s ramblings, with an amused tone.
The Fairbanks clan, minus Howie, had driven up to UCLA to look at the campus and meet with the tennis coach. The jury was still out on whether or not Dana would be still taking that year off before college.
Irwin and Sharon listened to Dana as she laid out the argument to forego the off year, explaining she wanted to keep up with her studies. They were impressed with the obvious thought Dana had put into her argument and loved the drive Dana showed regarding her studies.
Coach Hall, had not been pleased and argued that Dana need more time to become competitive on such a high level.
This back and forth did not stop or slow down the college search and it was decided that UCLA or Stanford would be were Dana would end up.
After meetings with an academic advisor, there were a few hours of downtime until they had their meeting with the head coach of the tennis team and his staff. This led to Dana asking if she could just walk around campus to get a feel of it and, upon receiving her parents’ okay, the brunette started explore the campus.
Not paying attention to where she was going, she knocked right into a girl causing the stranger to spill her coffee.
Hence, her babbling apology and internal death wish.
Upon the command to take a breath, Dana did and finally took a look at the girl she ran into.
“Uhhh…,” the athlete couldn’t think of one thing to say as she looked at the gorgeous blonde in front of her.
“You calm now?”
“What? Yeah.. um.. are you okay. I’m really sorry.”
“It is no problem. Luckily I didn’t spill it on my clothes or yours. So the only damage done is to my caffeine levels,” she replied giving a brunette a covert once over. What a hottie! “I’m Alice,” she continued offering her hand in greeting.

Love the story but don’t Dana have blue eyes and not brown, Alice is the one with the brown eyes if I don’t remember wrong…. great update
D bumping into A was perfect as well as a supportive Irwin having ice cream with D. So glad to see D being so determined and wouldn’t allow others to alter the course she set. That’s our Dana! Good job, thank you anionayo for your speedy post right after your trip!

I hope your trip went well and I am glad to see you back. What a great start to the week! I’m very proud of Dana to proceed with her plan to skip the “off” year — especially since it aggravates her stupid coach. Love, love, love the Danish meeting and Dana’s internal monologue through the thing. “A scoop of each.” — Hee! I adore how you have written Irwin. Dana so needs one parent who is willing to listen. Dana just needs to realize it will take more than her sexuality to disappoint her father. Hmmmmmm… I think I need to start hanging out on college campuses and drinking coffee. Hahahahah…… That was so funny Dane running into Alice. Yeah Dane is a big klutz. But that’s so lovely about Dana! So I see she fell for Alice. Awww….. the last part was so cute too. That she can never break her dad’s heart. I’m a daddy’s girl myself. ;) I totally understand Dana. But wheew, Dana must be a genius to go to Stanford or UCLA with a year skipping ahead, and all along with playing tennis? Awesome! I’m so excited what’s going to happen :) PPS
