Rory: Today should be fun.

Kasey: I can’t wait for the reception.

Rory: I wonder what their song is.

Kasey: I have no clue, no one does, only Alex. She wants it to be a secret for Alice.

Rory: I know it’s gonna be good.

Kasey: Yeah, Alex is the romantic kind. I know I’m gonna get hit because I’m not romantic, I’m sorry.

Kasey cringed and Rory just took her bottom lip between her two and gently sucked on it.

Rory: Babe, You have your moments.

Kasey smiled. Just then, Alex walked in.

Rory: Hey you, where ya been?

Alex: I was at Alice’s

Kasey: told ya so!

Rory: Shut up!

Alex: Why are you two here so early?

Kasey shrugged.

Kasey: nothing better to do.

Alex laughed.

Alex: You guys wanna watch a movie?

Kasey turned to Rory.

Rory: Sure.

Alex grabbed the remote and they picked a movie.

Shane was getting Carmen’s dress and her tux together, as Carmen sat at the table, feeding Nathan. He was nearly a year old now. He playfully clapped as his Madre fed him another bite of sweet potatoes. Carmen smiled.

Nathan: De, De, De

She smiled. He couldn’t pronounce Madre, so he called her de, and he still couldn’t say mama yet. Shane came up behind Carmen and wrapped her arms around her wife’s neck, while kissing the top of her head.

Shane: For god sakes, Nate, say something else.

He just giggled as his mother tossled his hair. He giggled.

Carmen: What do you want him to say? “Mother, I love you, youa re near and dear to my heart”.

Shane: That would be awesome actually. You think you could get him to say it?

Carmen: Maybe when he’s 7.

Shane: We still got quite a while before that.

She looked at her son.

Shane: Don’t grow up to quick on us.

She smiled. Carmen made another airplane out of the spoon, and Nathan opened wide, and ate the potatoes.
