    Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 13

    Chapter 13

    The Four Seasons Hotel

Looking in the mirror, Lyndsay gave herself the once over.  Pleased with the results, she turned and walked back to the dining area of her room.  She knew she had taken a big risk by just leaving the note for Angelica, but she had to take the chance.  Glancing at her watch, the time was 6:30PM.  Half an hour before the designated time she had stipulated.

She was feeling quite nervous about seeing her again.  Perhaps it would have been easier to just have made an appointment at the gallery to see her.  Some place public, not so private.  She was not sure what Angie’s reaction would be.  Firstly to the painting, and secondly to the cryptic note she had left.  Would she even know it was her who had left it?

The last remaining question was, would Angelica even show up?

    Back at the KP Gallery

Angelica had no words to describe the painting she saw before her.  It was truly amazing.  Far more substantial than when she had first seen it in Rome.  Looking in the bottom right hand corner of the canvas, she saw the initials and year ….LA, 2008.  Lyndsay had finished the painting.

Meg came over to where Angelica stood looking at the piece of art.  She too could not remember seeing anything quite so captivating in recent memory.  This was truly a gifted artist.  Breaking the silence Meg asked

“Do you know who painted this?”

    Angie smiled and nodded yes.

“Ang I don’t recognize the signature, who is the artist?  Or is this one of your recent unknown artist finds?”

Thinking to herself, this was much more than simply an “artist find” as Meg had put it.  This was a life altering turn of events in her life.

Not wanting to give anything away, Angie simply replied, “the artist is an unknown, and has never shown their work before.  I met her in Rome when I tried to buy this painting for my Mom as a birthday gift, but the artist would not sell it to me.  It was only about half finished when I first saw it.  This finished product is simply breathtaking.”

My mom always told me, sit still…wait…I’ll find you…Lyndsay is too busy torturing herself and Angie and us.arohanui taku hoa, paimarire. [love to you my friend, peace]

    2. Taz, I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Having been there I know how difficult it can be. But, we must live with the knowledge that our life is better for having known the person for however long they are in our lives, then to not have known them at all. Yout take care. Love the update, and so cannot believe you left us hanging again.

    3. We all feel your pain, most of us has been where you are now. Take care and write, that is what your friend would want you to do. Lyndsay really needed to wait a wee bit longer. thanks PPS

    4. I am sending out positive energy and love to you and your friend. I too know this grief and it is not easy. You are so right to be comforted in the love and great memories of your friend, I believe it is God’s way of helping us move foward in peace. Now to the story. You are soooo wrong for leaving us hanging yet again. I hope that these two star crossed lovers actually hook up and talk in the next chapter. MUch love and peace :o).

    5. I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully, this quote will bring you some comfort. “People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.”God Bless.

    6. Taz, I’m very sorry about your friend. I know what that kind of loss is like to that horrible disease. I’m glad she touched your life like she did, I read The Ripple Effect and was very touched by it. I think that you are doing an amazing job with this story too and can’t wait for your next update. Take care of yourself…it’s always hardest for the ones left behind.

    7. I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I lost a close friend to cancer a couple of years ago, so I know what you are going through. Sounds like your friend was a special person. Oh, and thanks for the update on this story.

    10. My dear friend, a post during what has been the most difficult time is just so you. You thinking of others before yourself. It’s true we have shared an incredible amount in the last several months, and though we will share many more, I would never have wanted it to be any other way. I hold close to my heart the chance to have met D through your words, your memories, your fears, etc. As I’ve told you before, that ripple continues on long after the what started it disappears. We spoke extensively about what azmama had shared, and somewhere WAY back I had posted them in my author notes. Hold onto that, and know that concept is a deep and accurate one in this journey called life.As for the story, you certainly have raised my blood pressure a little bit. Once Lynds had gone in one elevator while Ange was coming out of the other, I was like “NO!!!!” You stir a lot of emotions in your writing, and like it or not, you ARE a success. ; – ) Love and Hugs to you and P. xo

    11. Tazzie, please receive our most sincere condolences on the loss of your dearest friend. She sure is in a better place now and her pain did come to an end. Just keep in mind that her memory will always remain alive next to your heart. We know it is hard to cope with such grief. But be sure that what your dearest friend would have wanted is that you remember her with a smile. Our prayers are with you and your special friend.- As for the story, hope that Angie and Lindsay may clear the clouds of doubt that have filled their paths and that they might be able to find the proper way to reconcile their feelings.
